What is it with the numbers on the OU jerseys, are they supposed to be camouflage, or something? They look like iron-ons that have gone bad.

It's a Sports Bar chain. There's one in Frankfort, Ky I would visit while there on business.

I first heard of it back when the Indians held Spring Training in Winter Haven, FL as the announcers mentioned it a lot because, well, it was about the only place to eat in Winter Haven.

Reports are that the Browns will fire Rob Chudzinski as head coach tomorrow after one season.

I can think of few things that are a better indication of an inefficient organization than firing a coach after one season. And this is a perfect example of how to continuously screw things up.

The job isn't to find a coach, it's to find the right coach. If you fire a guy who you think isn't working out, it doesn't mean you replace him with someone else who isn't the right coach but is simply a different face than the first guy.

Whoever the new guy is will be the 8th head coach since 1999. I'm pretty sure that Browns fans will get a free pass into Heaven, since actually following this team looks like hell.

And they're probably going to hire Josh McDaniels.

They'd be better served to hire me. Despite the ego, I'm at least aware of my limitations and would hire a staff that could compensate for that.

(Back in the 1950s, the Giants had Vince Lombardi as the offensive coordinator and Tom Landry as the defensive coordinator. Jim Lee Howell was the head coach, but would openly praise his coordinators as the real brains behind the team's success. A reporter once asked Howell, if that were true, what his job was. Howell thought for a second and then said, "Mostly I just make sure the footballs have enough air in them.")

Don't insult inefficient organizations by lumping them in with the Browns. :D

By the way, with all the lousy teams I've followed (in multiple sports), I figured I'm covered if there is a purgatory. :D :D

They're bricks. The jerseys were originally created for the rivalry game with Miami aka The Battle of the Bricks. And yeah, I don't like them either.

Let the record reflect that Brandon Weeden had more of an opportunity with the Browns than the coach who was stuck with him as the top QB on the roster.

Let the record also show that most Browns fans wanted neither of these guys.

The Browns are certainly a poorly run organization. It took the Bengals a lot of patience to get to where they are. The Bengals certainly aren't a post child for what to do; but they've managed to dig their way out of being a disaster. They built one of the better defenses (took a long time) and put together a respectable offense.

All I can recommend with the Brown is find a head coach you trust and stick with it. You are in a tough division and you've got a lot of work to do on that roster.

Well, since the guy they just fired after one season is the guy they hired just last year, it seems unlikely they are going to find a coach they trust and will stick with. This ownership/management group may be even worse than what we've been forced to put up with for the past half century! From Art on, one disaster follows another.
