Buckeye record under Urban Meyer when trailing at the end of the game 0-1.

After my first cup of coffee and a night's sleep I still believe the following:

At least the Bucks won't be embarrassed in the national championship game

Braxton Miller needs to come back-he is not NFL ready

If that is a modern offense then Auburn and Missouri must have futuristic ones (although I acknowledge that Auburn's is really old school executed to near perfection by a lot of super fast guys).

Defense? Defense? Don't talk to me about Defense

Where were Shazier's and Smith's heads on those two idiotic penalties in the first half?

Did the receivers forget how to catch? or maybe they were just surprised when Miller got the ball to them in a catchable position?

Did Thad Matta give a tip on player development to Meyer regarding Dontre Wilson? Buckeye's fastest player? His best offense this season was the punch he threw last week.:sarcasm::sarcasm:

The Bucks need a kick off guy who can put the kickoff into/out of (the other side) the end zone. Although he is a good fg guy. Punter is very good.

Joey Bosa is going to be a great one I think.

Ryan Shazier, other than that penalty, is really, really good.

Hopefully the red-shirted D guys like Mike Mitchell & Vonn Bell can bolster the D.

Carlos Hyde is a beast.

Jordan Hall had a great first three games and one nice run last night but other than that I think he could have been used a bit more this year.

Any chance Meyer could/would hire all new coordinators for next year? That would be great in my opinion.

These are not new thoughts just ones that were re-enforced last night. Strength of schedule discussion aside, in my opinion the Bucks aren't in a class with Auburn or Alabama. Can't say about FSU - they didn't exactly play a tough schedule either. Will be interesting to see how they do against Auburn.

Oh and for you guys who were pointing fingers at Meyer for not suspending Hall - did you notice he didn't play him last night?

When is the Orange Bowl?

I actually expected this. Ohio States defense really looked awful against U of M, and looked no better last night. You can't expect to give up 75 points to the State of Michigan and expect to win both games. Even with that offense, it is only a matter of time until that D costs you a game.

I am not sure who they play in a Bowl game now, but whoever it ends up being is going to be licking it's chops at playing against that defense.

Adam Sandler is to blame. The poor showing on defense made me want to "Click" to another channel. OSU could probably have put "The Waterboy" out there without seeing much of a dropoff. I guess our defense thought they were "Bulletproof," but in the end they turned out to be a bunch of "Airheads." Many of you who were pissed off that Hall didn't get suspended should be happy he didn't play last night. I guess Meyer was unimpressed with the "Punch-Drunk Love" he showed to Michigan's crowd last week.

saw a line last night that in their actual schedule, OSU hasn't beat a top ten team since 2006... (so that excludes bowl games, its just what was on schedule)...that is insane...

And one of the problems is their agreement to play other Ohio schools to keep some money in the State. They need to get out of that crap, and schedule games with top opponents. I get the whole money thing, but it really does OSU no good.

see and I argue that they should help OU be a better school so they can do both...but i understand why they shouldn't and won't...

Urban Meyer had Michigan State No. 4, Ohio State No. 5

Richard Johnson ‏@RagjUF 34s
Mark Dantonio did indeed vote Sparty No. 2, and honestly, can ya blame him?

LOL

@ESPN_BigTen: And Bret Bielema has MSU 5th, Ohio State No. 12

And the beat goes on for the Browns. Another blown lead. Well, it is about the draft picks at this point.

As usual.

It was all about draft picks as soon as they lost to the Steelers. It's kind of odd cheering for the other team to come from behind and beat them in the last minutes of a game, but at least I'm getting my wish.

Look on the bright side...you have 2 1st round picks next year thanks to the T Rich trade. I thought that was a horrible trade at first, but clearly the Browns organization knew something I didn't.

Agreed on Jordan Hall, but injuries will do that to you.

If anybody is gone, it better be Luke Fickell. 1,000 total yards of offense over the past 2 games is completely unacceptable. Remember when our defense used to be stout? It's a joke now.

Orange Bowl: Jan 3.

not a browns fan, but from the outside, i thought it was a terrible trade as well...browns have some nice pieces...right moves, they could be a playoff team next year...

my guess is Fickell ends up at either FAU (where he DID interview no matter what is being said out there) with the ex buckeye they have as AD or a MAC school as head coach...

After a quick review of recent posts to this thread, I didn't see a single mention of the fact that, without any public flogging or boasting, Meyer sat Hall for the entire game. With all the heat OSU took from people here, all the way to John Feinstein in the Washington Post, it is worth noting that a significant penalty was imposed. I like that he didn't use it to try to rehabilitate his rep as a disciplinarian by making a big deal of it. He just did what he thought was right and he didn't waiver when it looked like Hall might have made a difference in the outcome. Good for him.

Interesting; I heard Paul Keels mention him twice as being in the game after not starting.

He played one offensive series; but other than that, you are correct, Urban Meyer did the right thing and kept him out of the game.

Somewhere, there's a disgruntled OSU fan on a rant about how this cost them the game against Michigan State :sarcasm: (only partially, because it's probably true)

Is it possible that he played that series, then either suffered or aggravated an injury that prevented him from returning? By not actually revealing that, Meyer would be able to claim some type of moral high ground by "keeping him out" even if it was forced by circumstances.

Is it possible? I suppose, Meyer has not claimed anything, though.

You're really stretching for that one.
