Let the record reflect that Brandon Weeden had more of an opportunity with the Browns than the coach who was stuck with him as the top QB on the roster.

I don't think Weeden was ever going to be a good NFL starter, but this coach sabotaged whatever chance he had, and sealed his own fate at the same time.

So the University of Texas is looking for a new football coach. Rumored to be at the top of the list are the coaches at Baylor,Louisville, Fla St and Vanderbilt. The first three of those are hot because they recruited RGIII, Teddy Bridgewater and James Winston. Are these the kind of coaches who have staying power and who can re-build a program? My guess is that the Vandy coach may be their best bet because he has built a pretty decent program at Vandy without a superstar. MY second choice would be the guy at Baylor wo is having some success post RGIII. MY question is what do you think about flavor of the month versus a guy with solid credentials even though he may never had played for the big one. Kind of like taking a Tressel versus a guy who is currently hot.

The Baylor coach has a lot of ties with high schools in Texas, which I think gives him the inside track.

I don't know whether I'm more relieved or disgusted to see that it's not just Ohio teams that can't defend a pass, neither can any other Midwestern team! Wisconsin is ridiculously bad at it and Nebraska was only saved by a couple of Georgia drops.

c) Those are the favorite colors of three 5 star recruits who refuse to wear gold & green

Let's see what the fanboys have said about Bammer, not just today but two months ago.

LSU looks better than they have in years past, and Bammer looks worse.

What was shocking to me was the way that Oklahoma was able to seal off Bammer at the edge all night. There's only been a couple points in the last five years that a Bammer defense lost outside contain even part of the time, and they weren't able to consistently seal the edge at any point tonight.

I wouldn't be proud of squeaking by Iowa if I were LSU. By my definition, Iowa DID kick butt.

Tough loss but I don't think they played well enough to deserve the win.

Miller hung tough have to give him lots of credit.

Offensive line not as good as touted.

Hopefully some school where detense is not highly regarded hires Fickell. Second choice is that he learns how to install something close to a pass defense and secondly learn how to stop those wide receiver screens.

Watkins looks like the real deal though. No shame in getting burned by that guy. I wonder if the Browns would look to pick him up.

i don't think he's going to be on the board when the browns pick...i really think the Rams will snag him at 2...imagine a team with Sammy Watkins and Tavon Austin as your wide outs...greatest show on turf all over again...

was definitely an entertaining game, just can't believe with all the flags and stoppages, they didn't review the last two clemson turnovers...
