Could be a mix of both. He was falling out of the league prior to the reports gaining steam last year, many feel that teams shied away from all of the CHLers on that 2018 team who were UFA in 2023.

There's hotel cameras, witnesses. The fact they had the woman shower and then video her saying it was consensual is really damning, b/c you don't try to cover your tracks if you think you did nothing wrong.

Real question is why London police/prosecutors took so long to bring charges.
