This team really needs Chytil back. The third line is a black hole non factor without him. His speed and straight line game leads to chances and helps the team sustain momentum.

I said in the GDT but it needs repeating, the defensemen on this team desperately need to get better at getting their shots through from the point. Jones had all day to get a shot off on Bostons first goal and he got it blocked and they go the other way and score. The only D on this team capable of getting shots through is Fox. The rest of them, Jones in particular if he wants to be an effective OFD in the NHL, need to get better. Lindgren and Trouba are the worst. Jones honestly needs to be better overall if he really wants to stay in the lineup.

I know there’s been arguments going on in here about Kreider being slow but it’s not that his actual speed has droped off too much, he’s fully capable of still being fast. He’s simply not using it. He’s playing a slow game so whether he has speed or not is irrelevant because he’s just puck watching and hesitating all game. I swear every shift he’s just standing still or gliding while something happens just out of his reach thay if he was moving his feeet he would’ve made a play on. He’s playing slow. That much is undeniable.

Overall the third period was a stinker. They need to be better than that. It is what it is. Boston is good and got some breaks on top of playing very well. Get Chytil back and they’ll be fine I think.

Not for nothing, we all watched how much losing Lindgren impacts this team last playoffs. He’s a big loss.

Lindgren & Trouba need to just get pucks on net. Lindgren tries to play like Fox too much offensively and Trouba’s slap shot has a 1 in a million chance of not hitting glass

1. Team played until the middle of ****ing June last season.

2. There’s been some awful puck luck so far.

3. Seems like everyone they’ve played is a top 5 PK team, and/or has a top 10 goaltender.

There are certainly reasons for concern, especially around roster construction, but let’s get 30-35 games in before we start with the no playoffs stuff.

Blais is 1-2 games away from being a healthy scratch too. He’s playing to not get hurt, and it’s obvious to anyone watching. That trade by Drury might be the worst in a decade - I was never sold on Buch but he had 5x more value than we got.

I never trained or played hockey on a team. Evebtually i took a bunch of lessons on skating/hockey at the red bank nj rink. Hit a bunch of stick n pucks.

One time I went to open hockey in Howell and I remember skating at a sloths pace. In front of me is a player who once played juniors and hes sloooooowly gliding backwards, graciously giving me a chance to skate in with it like I was a make a wish kid he was allowing to get a free shot.

Carpenter against actual nhlers looks like I did that day.

I can play g pretty well tho.

He’s a super streaky player that looks dreadful when he isn’t playing well. This isn’t new for him. It’s exactly who he’s been.

Im no Kreider nut muncher, but it looked to ME that he wasn't skating well. Looked labored.

Wish they would of waived reaves or blais instead of hunt atleast hes somewhat useful compared to both of them. Reaves probably will still play when Chytil gets comes back but they were also scratching him when Kravtsov was also healthy so hopefully it will also be that

No. It's makes much more sense to say that after 12 games when they are 6-4-2.
