Their top line talent was better than ours in this game, but their bottom six is where the game was won. Ours is dogshit & theirs actually skated hard & outworked us.We literally skate and move the puck in circles on the perimeter.. Literally.
That's the gameplan until we turn it over or eventually go Low to High.. Say the defenseman doesn't have his shot blocked... which is typically the case... the puck gets through in this rare scenario... no one is in the middle. No one is a threat or no one ever puts themselves in position to be a threat. Flat footed, puck watching and waiting for a miracle play.
Please try something else. We're way too easy to play against.
I've wanted Montgomery and knew he was good... didn't think he was this good. He turned Dallas around fairly quickly... now he looks to have a powerhouse in Boston.
We do not have that luxury. Gallant is definitely better than Quinn and has his strong suits but I do not think he and his assistants are good enough to win a Cup in 2023. We need better coaching with a modern take on the game. Maybe some structure?
This is the worst Trouba has looked as a Ranger. Figures. He's doing nothing well so far.
Unfortunately they traded the only guy who might have replaced him to DallasWelp, I've been reasonable enough so here's a hot one.
It's really not but it's gonna be taken that way, so here goes.
Schneider f***ing blows.
I know he's young, but can somebody just tell me where the cutoff point on that is? He's not improving. He's below average defensively and murders our offense like he's in a Cannibal Corpse song. He throws a big hit here and there and is a good fighter. I don't want Erik Gudbranson on this team.
Their coaching/structure/teamplay is tiers above ours.Their top line talent was better than ours in this game, but their bottom six is where the game was won. Ours is dogshit & theirs actually skated hard & outworked us.
After losing a top 4 dman to a cheapshot in the first period to boot, that shit can tire a team out quick. We're skilled enough and experienced enough to take this Bruins team in the playoffs for sure. That was annoying but you can't win every game.
You guys like way overhyped yourselves because the Bruins are good and then you're absolutely floored that we lost to such a good team.
Again, do we not see the contradiction?
I really hope Lindgren isn't out too long.Boston is a really good team, the best one we’ve seen yet. The 2nd period was excellent but playing with 4-5 D the entire game caught up to them. Couple meh goals given up by Igor. Trouba & Kreider get your shit together
Well maybe he's just hurt but the guy literally can't f***ing ice skate right now.At least it's better than your "Kreider is Slow" take
I don't even know if Shesty is to be blamed for the third goal. Massive screen in front of him and Goodrow crosses into the sight line of the shot. He's never been that great at fighting through screens.Boston is a really good team, the best one we’ve seen yet. Won't disagree. We never seem to enter the zone with a plan. Our offensive strategy leaves a lot to be desired. Everyone waits around for the either Panarin or Kakko to create something with the puck. If they can't, the puck is cleared out of the zone pretty quickly.Their coaching/structure/teamplay is tiers above ours.
It's not even close.
The fact that our defense is collectively porous but individually talented highlights the seriousness of our coaching problems. The Bruins are on another level than us from a coaching standpoint. Their top players also come to play more consistently than ours.

He wouldn't be doing here what he's doing in St. Louis.I know this has been discussed a million times before but man we would be better off with Buch rather than Kreider. Laf would fit on the left in the top six and we would have a right winger who can score. Would be a much more balanced team.
fixedReaves is painfully slow and makes the fourth line an anchor. He's a dinosaur in an increasingly fast, four-lines league. Thefourth lineentire team needs speedier guys.
He was at the end of a long shift as they commented the other night.Well maybe he's just hurt but the guy literally can't f***ing ice skate right now.
Even if he was just lazy, laziness doesn't make you that bad a skater.
He's still breaking in on Carter Hart as we speak.
