Turns out everyone was wrong with the prospects being included

Koivunen and Ponomarev are both realy solid prospects, and Lucius seems decent from the read. Still though, I would have expected at least one of Blake or Morrow in this.
Buddy we have all seen you pumping the return over the last few days based on absolutely nothing.

"It's gonna be Morrow!"
"Guentzel doesn't move without a top prospect and a 1st!"
"They wouldn't move him to Van without Lekkerimaki coming back!"

Good lesson in not taking people that speak with authority on this site seriously. Pure quantity over quality deal.

Really good haul for a rental, overpay from our management team . Dont underrate any of those three.

The one prospect here with middle-six upside is Koivunen, and that is a tad of a long-shot compared to Nadeau or even FUS. I like Ponomaryov but he's more of a depth center, which we already have a better one in Jack Drury. Lucius is a huge wild-card and likelier to flame out than become anything. All of these are worth dealing for a Guentzel.

The return vindicates the posters on here who were thinking that all the smoke about the "desperate" interest from Vancouver and the NYR was coming from Pittsburgh to try to drive up the price. Good on Carolina for not falling for it. There were some Pens fans who actually thought they would get a 1st, Kakko, and Perrault/Othmann for Guentzel (and taking Goodrow).

Vancouver couldn't beat that offer? I don't understand the chest thumping from Canucks fans.
We don’t have a first or second. Getting one of those this year matters to a team looking to retool vs rebuild.

Would have to think Guentzel being non committal to any contract negotiations played a major part in this.

Almost screams he wants to be back in Pittsburgh next year or seek out the highest bidder in the summer.

Probably lessened the return.

Dubas strikes.
Where’s that weirdo poster who was flaming me now lmao. It’s an even worse trade
I'm here. And I was discussing the rumored Pagnotta deal, not this one. Yes it's obviously not as good. And I wasn't flaming you either (you should look up what this means).

Also, you should learn to read :
