We gotta at least try him with Aho. Pay all this to play with Drury/KK? Svech and Necas flanking Drury is pretty interesting.

You run into that Teravianen - Aho - Jarvis problem wrt the ability to get penetration. Rod would rotate Noesen/Martinook/Fast up there real quick.

Ty Smith, only 23, 47 points in 123 games is not nothing. Didn’t get much of a chance with Sullivan and was beaten out by POJ for 3LD.

I still love that the 5th doesn't even like turn into a 6th or something. Just a straight up "unless we get the best possible outcome out of all this, you get nothing on that one", it's so unnecessary to be included in the trade on both ends lmao

Don’t understand why Dubas didn’t just wait until tomorrow. There has to be a team that would have got desperate and traded more than this. I’m sorry but that’s such an underwhelming return. Never go full quantity over quality
Teams were probably pulling out and he was afraid that no one would be left or the prices would plummet.

A quantity over quality return - which is typical for rentals. It was silly to think he Guentzle was going to return a bluechip asset without an extension

That said, if Bunting clicks with the Pens, I think the return is decent enough for them

True, but 55 pts in 57 games as a 20 y/o speaks for itself and is at the end of a five second google search.

Probably played too hardball and everyone just moved on to other trades. Dubas probably thought everyone would wait until tomorrow and he would have more time but this year everyone made their moves early and he was left holding the bag.

For a penguins team needing high draft picks to rebuild, not even a first. Wow. At that point I would have just kept him. Not really sure what they accomplished with this other than pissing off the whole team.

I really like this for Pens. They need young hungry legs.

A move for now and the future.
For a bunch of echlers yippy! We were duped . Ppl went on twitter and said that the trade they initially heard was different than how it ended up.

This is a good return for a rental. Rentals almost always return a late 1st and "meh" prospect.

Don't let the fact that some Pens fans had dreams of Nikishin, Morrow, or Nadeau; the type of prospects who almost never get traded for rentals.

Koivunen and Pono are good prospects. Bunting is a good NHLr worth his contract.

Give your stance in thinking it would be something like Hoglander, Lekkerimaki and a first. I’m not sure it should be you mocking other fans.
No it would be something like Mikheyev, Raty, Podkolzin, the dman Pettersson, conditional 1st, conditional 5th. Maybe Hoglander instead of Mikheyev since Bunting is so much better than Mikheyev.
