lmao, I blame the ref for that one. I still love Hedman, or as Cherry likes to call him, Hegman.Haha, Hedman lifted a stick into his own face to complete the phantom 5 on 3 last year, that did it for me
I’ll be honest …
This hollow victory is really growing on me in the last few minutes
Keefe was mad because they called the 5 minute, said no penalty after review, but still gave Rielly 2 minutes since apparently you can't call a 5 and then do 0. Not sure if Keefe was expecting a 5on3 or just wanted to have Rielly available for the pp. That pp was beyond terrible so it might have been just having him available. From what I saw it looked like Stamkos losing it on the ref that they're trying to injure their best players and then grabs Matthews and starts feeding him jabs...
If that's not instigating, while basically telling the ref you're going to do it as payback, I don't know what is.
Pretty sure that's why Keefe was so hot afterwards.
Why? Matthews has a clear size advantage.

He alone got away with like three instigator penalties tonight. Crazy
I personally think all of Nylander's points have been money, especially when Tampa gained some momentum in game 2 and he flew into their zone right after to help JT ice it. Obviously his assist today was clutch.I don't like to rag on the core, I know they are under a lot of pressure but they are PPG because of that skewed game 2. They have to come up big when it counts.

Stamkos doing what he did makes sense, the refs calling the altercation a “fight” and giving even 5 minutes is asinine.
Absolutely agreeIf he never plays a game for the Leafs again I'd be perfectly OK with that
Keefe said he felt it should’ve been 5on3
Side note: I have to say I was excited for Knies but didn't buy into the hype train.
But hot damn, I think we have a player there. The speed, the hands, the size. He could be special.
Throw Holl in for lessons too. At least he’s fought before. Matthews was trying to make it through his entire career without ever fighting but Stamkos put an end to that streak. Now Mitch and Willy have to carry the torch forward. We need some of our heavy weights to teach Matthews the basics of fighting.
Matthews 208 pounds.
Stamkos 182.
Dude has size and weight advantage jest needs to know how to throw a few.
That's amazing!!!!!His reputation just skyrocketed tonight
All the D look shot except Schenn.Keefe won't do it, but Gio is fighting it out there and desperately needs a rest. Bring Liljegren in.
