Schenn was exactly what we needed and so much more ….
ROR is exactly what we needed and so much more , clutch !!! Haven’t had one of these in this past stretch 6 years ?
All the other additions are exactly what we needed .
Mo in the playoffs is exactly what we need , always tries and is a leader and a terrific human being and teammate , so happy for him , you can’t be great all the time , also im sure he came back way to early from his knee injury …he’s a warrior
Mitch and AM just need to keep contributing 1-3 points per game each ..check …

MK better and better , seems mature and mentally tough with a swagger and confidence, great to see !
Tj worst game as a leaf , can’t expect that twice ..he gets my pass for this one , he’s pretty solid and steady and tries and takes hits to make plays .

Kampf needs to be more consistent like he played game 2….
We need all our players to realize that it take’s literally every square inch of that ice battled every single shift all game every game in the playoffs
Look at Tampas effort win or lose .. they have warriors and winners and a never say die attitude, weather you like it or not and their stars battle fight , claw , cheat , poke you , bite you to win !!!
That’s a good thing , never passengers!!!

We need every player not even 95% to play that way especially our stars and leaders…
By the way , shout out to AM , love the way he’s playing finally , his goals wil come once we win this series , he’s a victim of the past , but he’s playing with fire and grit now and love it , the rest of his teammates respect him now ! Excellent ,it’s all because of Luke and ROR and Acciari and the rest ..he now sees what it takes .
No problem from AM , he’s hounding the play , hitting , stealing the puck , back checking, that’s why when you play like that your not scoring as we might want , but the bigger picture will look better in the long run .
MM competing like a dog and getting points …
He 2 will benefit from getting rid of this albatross around his neck of never winning past this round and the history for a while .
He’s playing great and getting better .
PP needs to change structure, I know we’ve scored , but we don’t look dangerous most of the time ….
Opposite wingers work better in general over the years and now , we don’t do that , it limits us to only certain open looks instead of doubling your possible chances for one timers and or fake then passing off .
Most successful PP’s almost always set up with off wingers on both sides for one timers with traffic in front of the net and a player up high , we also need to move around more …..
SH ok …
Need to pressure the boards hard everywhere all the time and keep it out side , we look better on our SH because of players like Marner , who just make plays ..
But we allow a lot of great chances against
Kerfoot , not effective at all ,,, needs to sit one .
Jarn , not effective , tries hard , we need more , but definitely no problem ….
Coaching : if we win it won’t be because of coaching , it will be because of all our positive feature we know have in our lineup and grit from grabbing moments that alter games and series and championships ….
We have that now when it counts …but our coaching let’s us down , but so far this series we are overcoming it .

The great news is that although the team was a bit flat-footed this game, they found a way to win. They will be way better next game. It doesn't get easier for Tampa.
The thing that's starting to annoy me is Tampa's love of knocking the stick out of the goalie's hands every time they skate by.

I wouldn't mind someone like John Tavares feed him his lunch. Captain to captain chat about doing things the wrong way to start that with Matthews. Or just have Schenn launch him into outer space like a Space X rocket.

Ok, now. So, did Tampa deserve the win? They had bunch of shoots from blue line. Beyond that, after they got the lead, they just flipped puck out of the zone for like 20 times. They allowed leafs back into it and then they lost. It was rather logical loss for them.

So happy we won. Two wins in a row against Vasi and the Bolts.
That said, I was not happy with Marner or Nylander.
Also, it seemed like the refs allowed Tampa to play tough but nailed us anytime we played tough. The penalties we got made the team play timid.

The proceeds of blowout stats mean nothing. RoR is carrying momentum and the general out there. The big 3 were playing pond hockey and razzled. Nylander was had like 1/3 of our shots. Rielly stepped up and it was over without Sammy.
