Injury Report: Captain JT injury (aftermath)

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Well if he in fact suffered from a concussion, he would be out likely the remainder of the playoffs... however, I think he just got knocked out, took the knee to the chin, not the temple.. he tried getting up from coming too as like a boxer would... yeah... I think it really looked worse than what we all think... I think he will be ok! just my gut feeling!
Anytime you get knocked out you likely get a concussion. The hope is it isn’t serious.

Guys the symbolism is horrible. JT our captain and usually healthy player, knocked out of game 1 and Leafs lose.

That is ominous shit right there. Our strength at centre is a big part of team success we just lost that. Jumbo Joe filling in showed how big a hole JT left.

lol. what you talking about? that is completely untrue, trust me.. I know what I am talking about there... getting knocked out doesn't mean you have a concussion. I should know, I used to box!

Who knows that will happen with JT, but I fainted in the shower years ago and came down with all my weight on my jaw against the side of the bathtub. My jaw wasn’t broken but it was messed up, felt like stuff was moving around and took awhile to feel ok again. Still feels weird sometimes all these years later but I didn’t have a concussion.

If you believe in signs it was right there from beginning. Campbell first touch and he loses his balance with no reason. It went all downhill from there. Lol

PS. Nah... It was good game and we outplayed them handily. We were a little bit sloppy after long layoff. That worked in favor of less skilled team. We will get them next game and beyond.

Did all the concussions make you miss the term “likely?” I didn’t say anything in absolute terms.

This right here is unsettling for me.

This is all nonsense and excuses.

Hate how Habs fans r gloating about beating us. U knocked out our captain in a horrible hit and it deflated our team.
Meh. Good win for them. What you expect them to do.

Regroup... be better; can use the JT situation all we want, but the games done... we have enough to beat this team

The definition of Concussion is literally "temporary unconsciousness or confusion caused by a blow on the head." I can't see how he couldnt have one, it could be very minor and he plays the in the next few games like Seabrook did or he could have a major one like Nathan Horton and be out long term and never be the same.

All season, many posters here have been shoving it down our throats about this team is different (better depth, more maturity, experience, intangibles, etc).

We're about to find out whether you guys were right or not. Major test #1, and the results = F

Nope

Some concussions cause you to lose consciousness, but most do not.

It's one game with 9 penalties called and zero flow and JT almost getting his head taken off. I think you need to put away your remote control and find a different hobby to critique.

you can still get a brain injury from being hit in the chin/jaw...And being knocked out is a result of a brain injury.

They still failed major test #1.

There was no response from seeing their captain go. No extended effort to win the game. Aren't those the sorts of intangibles and maturity people talk about ?

Doesn't that say that 1/10 concussions are caused by a KO? His point seems to be the reserve, which can still be true
No

His post said "Anytime you get knocked out you likely get a concussion."

Reality is less than 1 in 10 KOs result in concussions. It's actually "likely" based on data that it isn't a concussion. But that's not to say Tavares does or doesn't have one.
