The number of terrible nicknames I already have for this kid is embarrassing.

The Holy Trineyev.

Pronman's mid-season rankings. 6'5'' right shot winger Daniil But (uh-huh-huh) is ranked eighth. Seems rich but given the profile worth noting. One of the other bigger wingers in Honzek (11th) checks off a lot of boxes as well (big, Euro AND in the WHL).

Barlow seems low, Molendyk rather high. Also hard to rank Perreault over Cristall given the similarities with Cristall seemingly being boomier. Overall the top 50 or so seem appealing.

Be careful what you wish for...

The Bogman
Bog Dogg
BogTree
No, the other guy - the forward playing down low
Bogdan, Trinayev & Schwarz
The Other BT
Bogdar the Bogbarian
The Greatest Bogdan (musical)
danTri (Space Baby)
Bo
“You don’t mess with the Bogdan”……is a freaking horse.

Hathaway's eventual replacement at RW on the 4th line?

20 years old, 6'3" and about 200, look out!

That saucer off a backhand is pretty legit.
Yeah, that was a sick pass and even better play to take it out of the air by Protas.

We need him to score some goals and get that offensive game going!

People keep saying Protas is a bottom 6 player. I don’t think so. His hands and size should allow him to be top 6, assuming his compete meter remains on high.
My biggest question with him is what position he'll play. I think his best spot is at Center, but I can't imagine he'll find a spot in our top 2 center spots.

I personally hope he fills the Eller role as 3C who plays up in sporadically.

Protas hasn’t shown the offensive chops to really show to me that he’s a top 6 center. He’s also 22 years old and basically in his prime now. I can see him locking down a 3C spot at some point but top 6 seems like a reach.

22 isn’t prime for kids his size though. More like 24 +
