He (Metew) is only 19 (2003 birthyear) so I think he has to play juniors. Don’t think we can sign him to an AHL contract but i could be wrong.Seem like a Hershey or SC type signing?

How’s Suzdalev look?I'm at rookie camp, and I'm posting stuff at my insta: emptymaybe
Other than really competent in the puck control drills, nothing jumped out at me. But he seems to have pretty good puck control, especially live. How’s Suzdalev look?

I think what's interesting is the shift in a desire for pure skill over physical presence in the NHL the past few years. Look at the heights on those top 20. Only 3-4 of them above 6'1". I'm sure a few guys will add an inch here or there but lots of the top rated guys are still a couple inches shy of 6 foot.'Didn't have to overthink this' - Bedard tops McKenzie's pre-season draft ranking
From the moment he was granted exceptional status in 2020 and then burst onto the scene as a “double underager” at the 2021 Under-18 World Championship, the giddy anticipation has been that the 2023 NHL Draft would be the Connor Bedard Sweepstakes.www.tsn.ca
Quality, quality group early on. That top 20 doesn't even include Leonard & Lindstein.
Ignore TSN's measurements and stats. They have Carlsson for example as 6'1 172 when he's 6'3 194, and has Bedard's PIM as his +/-.I think what's interesting is the shift in a desire for pure skill over physical presence in the NHL the past few years. Sudzalev just looks good. His stock will rise this year playing with Bedard.
Well this sucks.
Thanks for the update! What pairing is he playing on and is he going to see a lot of PP/PK time?I'm a UND fan. Brent Johnson looked like a different player in tonight's season opener. Very slick, I think he's going to have a good year.
