Might change my mind but what I got is:

Lappy (speedy 2nd line center potential)
Miro
Iorio
Protas
Chesly
AA

Its that point I get stuck.
maybe a better question is - who's your favorite guy from the rest of the group?

I think our new toy 2nd rounder is our best D pick since Alnzer
The strength of the classes varies but the way I remember it, Carlson was ranked around 24 averaging rankings, Chelsey around 27, AA around 29, Fever 45ish, want to say Lujo early 30s, every knock on Chesley in his thread was comparing him to guys that went top 10, should really be 3rd in our rankings

I'm pretty bullish on just drafted dmen kinda need to go year by year and see how they are projecting dev wise.

Chelsey should be a winner for us and playing in NHL in 2-3 years. I am almost as excited about Iorio though. Good size, RHD who just seems to say the right things, competes well, and is improving. I could see him getting a callup for a game as soon as this year and a regular within 2-3 years.

In forward ranks, Lapierre will be a beast but needs a season with men which lines up well with our expiring contracts at end of 22-23. Protas is ready for spot duty again this year and a full-time role next year. And assuming we don’t risk Leason on waivers this year, I think he becomes 4RW next year and we let Hathaway walk.

Dimitri Orlov says “hello”. And he was drafted in the 2nd round, Alzner was 5th overall. I’d say we got more value with Orlov.

Wait, wasn’t Carlson also drafted after Alzner? And later in the first round?

Carlson was 27th overall, taken with the pick that Philly gave us for 30 games of Steve Eminger. It ended up being one of the best trades in franchise history.

Carlson's draft was so stacked with D he could have gone 10-15 picks earlier another year

Huzzah for summer hockey.

Hlinka is U18. It's the summer WJC that starts in a little over a week that he made. I guess Magnusson is the only other prospect competing. Doesn't seem like Chesley will make the US team.

I don't know about being very high on the radar. He's in the mix with Stevenson & Bjorklund for the time being but we'll see if they sign him. Chase Clark looked like the most intriguing of the lot at their recent development camp. As far as under the radar types it's mainly the mid-to-late picks from the last two drafts: Clark, Hanelt, Lemay, Hofer & Gucciardi that stand out most.

On tap. From what I've seen Yager & Allen have been very impressive. The goaltender Ratzlaff as well.

Early on it looks to be a pretty spectacular draft class. Ethan Gauthier for me is a first rounder all day and Ratzlaff deserves at least an honorable mention. I think he's probably a first round talent. Wood I'm not quite as high on, though the upside is big. Lindstein should be higher and should somewhat benefit from a thin pool of higher-end D. It's tracking very well early on with the potential to be an incredibly deep draft in addition to the headliners.
