The sooner Edmundson is back in the lineup, the sooner we don't have to see Alexeyev/LuJo. HHA has already surpassed both those 2. I think Chase Priskie might be a better option than Alexeyev/LuJo.

How ironic would it be if Priskie becomes the 6/7 D?

I was thinking Frank or someone else with potential offensive upside. NAK has exhibited what he is and I don’t think he helps move the needle for what they need.

Is OV just having really bad puck luck this season or he just going through rough slump? I have not been able to watch full games at all. I just need the man to get rolling while this team is not contending for anything meaningful.

Both? I don’t think he’s fully healthy but he also should have at least five by now. He’s been pretty unlucky. One thing I do think he needs to do more is get to the front of the net. Not sure if it’s because of an injury or if it’s a different offensive philosophy from Carberry but he hasn’t really been in position for deflections, rebounds, etc. He’s not the best skater any more and his hands aren’t what they used to be but the man is an oxe and could and should be doing more damage from the hashmarks in.

Maybe Zadorov would welcome a move to DC so that Tommy Wilson stops plastering him.

I think Zadorov would be more likely if Edmundson wasn’t here. As it is, assuming Edmundson, Fever, and Sandin are healthy you are scratching one of them on a regular basis if they acquire Big Z 2.0 which is not likely. Some team will covet Zadorov (Vancouver and Toronto come to mind, especially Toronto with Treveling in charge there) and will pay more than the Caps would.

He's not a very smart defensively. Often goes out of position looking for a big hit.

But he's big and hits hard. Dinosaur GM's dream. I'd say he's valued at around 2nd rounder but if a contender wants him then late 2nd likely doesn't do it so desperate team throws late 1st in there a la Chiarot.
