With the Capitals just beginning to get out from underneath some sizeable contracts, some of which have not ended or are not ending the way you would like, I would think the organization might be reluctant to entertain taking on some more expensive contracts at this moment.
CMM and Malenstyn contracts need to be done and perhaps moving Kuemper over the summer as well.
I believe they'll look to provide opportunities for those within the organization first before they'll look outside via free agency. With that if the opportunity presents itself i.e. Strome/Milano, they'll look to fill in the openings accordingly.
I'm not anticipating BMAC being very active this summer.
