40 wins in February JFC. Most teams are hitting that mark in April if at all. 2 minors on the same player with 4 mins left in the game and they give up one and still win? I don't even know what to say anymore. It's like they are allergic to losing.

Ugly ugly win, but it’s a win

Jets had bad skating, bad passing, bad gas tanks, bad defensive play, one of the worst games they played all year, but we still win.

Ok, we need to get back into pre break form bc tonight was ugly
I agree it wasn't the Jets best game but i don't think they were as bad as you are saying here. On the road without our number 1 defenseman and most guys hadn't played in 2 weeks , Lowry in over a month, this easily could have been a really bad game but i thought they did pretty good.

This game gets 3/5 Sounds of Music.

I started the game with a good modicum of calm.

I watched the shoot out with a heart rate of 110, significant sympathetic outflow, and a peak systolic pressure of (guessing) ~ 180 mm Hg. Lovely to beat the blues and the refs.

Julie Andrew’s breaking bad 1966 ish 🤣

Ehlers was pretty bad in ot.
We collectively weren’t great in OT
Gave up a lot of grade A scoring chances
The brick shithouse played out of his mind last night
First star stuff

Part of a throw in as a package deal in all probability cause from what I have seem he has little trade value by himself. More and more Niku 2.0, all the tools for the AHL just doesn't translate to the NHL. Maybe he flourishes in another setting.
Really hard to develop to your full potential with the usage he’s been given. I wonder what he would look like after Stanley’s usage.

For his sake he needs to go to a team that doesn’t have the quality of dmen that we have.

I honestly believe if you gave him the same time as they have given Stan he would be a completely functional third pair D man, I also believe if we do trade him and he is given that time that he will flourish on said team.

He looked bad last night but I mean the guy hasn't played in forever, very hard to just come off the press box into a game after having not played in months and look good.

I agree, he needs consistent time that he isn't getting here. Sucks but it is what it is.

Yep, heinola hadn’t been given the best usage, but, when given the opportunity of a lifetime you need to make it count. It doesn’t matter what other factors there are. It doesn’t matter what opportunities Stan got.

I agree, however it hasn’t stopped TNSE from trotting Stanley out on a regular basis.
I suspect Ville ain’t going to get any better either.
I agree with you trade him to an organization that has room to give him time.

We call this the Stanley paradox

Outside of his goal he was pretty bad all night.

I still don't get the criticism for Pionk on the first holding penalty. No way you let a guy go in totally uncontested, you take the penalty and hope to kill it off. The second penalty was just ridiculous.

Heinola was pretty awful. Stanley played well but did a couple of incredibly stupid things.

Overall the team looked rusty af.

We can call it whatever we want. It’s about making the most of ur opportunities and not looking at what the next guy gets because life ain’t fair.,

Do you call 12 minutes on the third pairing after sitting for 5 weeks the opportunity of a lifetime?
Did Kyle Connor have the opportunity of a lifetime on the US team and blow it? How about Helle in the playoffs?

NHL hockey doesn't work that way. There is a lot of randomness in short samples, not to mention the confidence-rattling effect of coaches having made up their minds. I don't buy that Connor wasn't skilled enough for the USA team or that Heinola would not be flourishing if given Stan's minutes.

I sound like a broken record, but Heinola just needs to get out of Winnipeg and that is, no doubt, the message Chevy has been hearing, discreetly, from agent, for a while now. The Jets have decided that size=toughness=success=Stan and will live or die by that.
