this should have been the reaction for that Kakko call
Quinn should get canned just for that.

I'm not sure how facetious this is but after benching TDA for losing his shit on a ref and getting a penalty, can Quinn lose his shit and possibly get a penalty?
Very facetious, I just really like when coaches yell at the refs for awful calls. Sam said one of the refs is very young and missed a call earlier, and called that as well. Not a good look.

Yes you've mentioned it multiple times we got it.
Also helps we have Igor playing. He's a third dman out there.
Noticed that too. Regardless of whether you liked or disliked Tony, nobody can tell me that we were losing BECAUSE of him ON the ice. OFF the ice may be a different story. ONLY the boys would know, whether his antics played a part.

IDC about any of that junk with him, I will miss him ON the ice. Here's to hoping he doesn't raise the CUP before we do. (Should he get another opportunity, and sure he will)
Watch how he ends up an Oiler. My gut is talking again.

didn't realize they did it right in front of Georgiev
I did, and wondered IF that was all "planned specifically" WITH Georgiev (meaning he knew of it) so that it makes it VERY CLEAR to the audience that they were making light of the situation and ready to do some damage on the ice.......if true, that really was funny in making that statement.

Nothing from DQ in the post game presser about that shitty call
Which one? the fake dive, the phantom too many men on the ice, the Mika slash? Oshie and Wilson could have had three charging penalties each and Hathaway takes a penalty on every shift. The refs were an embarrassment last night.

He doesn't even have 100 games in the league yet, but Adam Fox is already one of the best D in the league. He went from sheltered minutes in his first several games, to impressive with the puck on his stick and making plays, and now he's becoming more and more comfortable making the defensive plays you need to make. His combination with Lindgren is perfect for him right now. Eventually, that player will be Miller, but I could see something where you keep them split and balance out the top 4.

We looked like the Blue Jackets in that uni. I didnt like it.

But, the WIN was very nice like I suspected therefore I overlooked the look.

No the bluejackets looked like us. We had that look way before they entered the league

If you only look at pts for a defenseman which these national reporters mostly do you wouldn’t know that fox is better than almost every dman in the league already. He’s not Cale Makar power and flash but he’ll give u 55 to 65 pts and stellar two way defense. Lidstrom like if you will in that regard.

the Canadian media will go nuts over Quinn hughes a guy that plays zero defense but Fox is a better player.

for me heiskanen makar fox are the three guys on another level right now.

By the way, last night reminded me of just how insane Ovechkin's shot still is. Speaking about the pure speed, accuracy, and sheer physicality of his shot, I think it may still be the best I've ever seen.

It's hard to tell on TV, but at full speed on 24fps footage, you can barely see it for 1-2 frames before it's in the top corner of the net from the top of the circle. It just looks incredible.

I think of all the generational talents in the league right now (and I use that phrase genuinely), I have the most respect for Ovechkin as far as pure athleticism is concerned. He's an absurdly strong human being that dishes out punishment all over the ice and skates like a dream.

Add to the wickedness of his shot is that he can hit any corner he wants with it.Deadly and accurate-devastating combo

Quinn is clearly getting through to Kakko, as he has with all of the young players. He seems to push the right buttons with these kids.
People seem to forget that with kids this young, even when the right buttons are pushed, there are still going to be growing pains.

I mean think of it. When Chytil is in the lineup, you are icing a team in which 4 players cannot legally buy a beer.

Not really. Asking that question just wastes time. Everyone knows what the answer will be--Quinn can't complain about it after a game. If he does the officiating will be more lopsided against the team.

Kakko could have been seriously injured and instead was called for a penalty. You could have address this is some fashion.

Ripping the Refs to the reporters doesn't address it in a helpful way. I'm sure management has ways to address issues like these with the league without publicly criticizing the refs.

I'd be shocked if Ovechkin isn't on some crazy PEDs
That said he's still absurdly talented

Kakko was able to play his game because the things Quinn has been teaching him allowed him to. He was responsible for several quick transitions because his positioning and decisions were the right ones. That’s the result of coaching and development.

I'm sure "tapes" of Fast on this line have been reviewed and analyzed with Kakko. Then take Kakko's skills, apply it to Fast's game and sky is the limit for the Finn.

I hated grey color frame around numbers - not enough contrast between blue of the unies and red of the numbers to read them without squinting.

Yeah, wasn't sure if it was just my colorblindness, but my friends agreed it was really tough to make out jersey numbers from the normal camera angle. They looked good in close ups, but some white around the numbers would make the visibility better.

Im also against the grey on any of the jerseys in place of white, why not just stick to your colors, i think ours and the Leafs would have looked much better with white
