But you went back to the very thing you were criticizing him for, one specific cherry picked stat, however you're hanging that on a flimsy hanger of COVID protocol attitude specifics, behind the scenes, that none of us are privy to. While he was hanging it on a laundry list of other justifications that I re outlined for you. There's a vast chasm of discrepancy in your rationale, comparatively.

As far as defending myself, I simply just pulled up playoff stats last 3 years for Kuz and Backstrom (about even as I expected) and recalled how they've been playing from my eye test. Meh to passable overall, with both coming off of an abysmal Kuz or invisible backy 1st round exit this year.

I didn't cherrypick the stat, I used the standard he was using to show why he was barking up the wrong tree. Twabby was the one who tried to make the G/60 over the last 3yrs a thing, not me. But he conveniently limited it to regular season when the chief complaint about Kuzy has been the PLAYOFFS. And when you look at that stat not only is he like 19th on the team, but Backstrom was one of the best.

I really don't feel like going over all of this again just to catch you up so you're on your own.

There's been no backpedaling, or revision, or moving of the goalposts.

His play in the 2021 postseason was poor but can be reasonably be attributed to his recovery from contracting COVID-19 for a second time and having limited practice time between his second stint on the COVID list and his insertion into the lineup in Game 3. This does not invalidate all of his regular season success in 2021. And unless you are privy to the contact-tracing data (which would again be murky at best, given the high-risk activities Kuznetsov performs as a function of being a professional hockey player), it's not reasonable to assume he contracted COVID-19 by attending a masquerade, or going to an underground performance of Shakespeare's As You Like It, or going to a Golden Corral for all-you-can-eat fried chicken on a New York City bender, or whatever else a rich person does in the Big Apple.

Likewise, his success in the regular season of 2021 does not invalidate his regular season and postseason struggles in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

You can keep saying these things but that doesn't make them true.

I remember posts stating how Kuzi was into Laviolette's system before contracting Covid-19 twice. I wouldn't change the offence core after two years of Reirdens tenure and Covid shortened season. I'd rather give one more normal season to see the tendency and then take significant measures.

Kuzy must be a GM's absolute nightmare.

If he doesn't get traded and has another 2018 year, GMBM looks like a genius, and there was talk of him and Lavi getting on the same page and Kuzy buying in to the system before he caught covid again, so the situation behind the scenes might not be as bad as we think it is. A full year with Lavi might actually show Kuzy to have rounded his game out a bit.

If he does trade him there's a risk he goes all 2018 somewhere else, and GMBM looks like a complete chump, despite the fact that it would probably be the trade that motivated him.

No matter what happens he's going to make someone look stupid by this time next year.

Here's hoping they don't trade him, he plays his heart out and gets us another cup and me and the other "trade Kuzy" people are the happy idiots who get to see Ovi get another one.

It was actually Japan that bombed PH. My English would certainly be good enough to teach you some history lessons though. Any time. My PMs are open.

yep ESL problem. You’re such a huge Caps fan, you don’t even know the clip they played at what, hundreds of games, maybe a thousand? Lol…

Thanks for the chuckle.

I can care less about the clips they play at games lol, how about that? Would you rather tell me what ad they were playing the most at the 2nd intermission of 98's finals game 4, show me how loyal you've been lmao.

Bolts forum is 2 doors down on the left. Nobody will miss you. Bye Felicia.

The twitters tell me that TEB has a fresh take on whats coming from the front office in the next couple of weeks. I am not an Athletic buyer, so I couldn't read it. Someone might check it for anything new
Not much there. He theorizes that a lack of buzz around a Kuznetsov trade may mean they've have softened on a trade. Maybe he's just not hearing it or they're being patient. Much is on hold until after expansion when they'll know who needs replacing. No one needs off-season surgery. Anderson won't be back. There will be a week-long rookie camp prior to main camp.
