Ever since winning a Cup Leonsis is doing everything he can to burn the good will be built up over the years. I could see him taking Snyder’s spot as the most hated owner in DC if this trend continues, especially because of horrible he has been as the Wizards owner.

The things Dan Snyder did are on a different level entirely.

The hate for the Caps over this is a little ridiculous and frankly childish. You guys do realize that it takes two parties to make a deal? It's business. How many of you complaining about this ever gave a dime to CapFriendly? Why aren't you also criticizing CapFriendly for selling out? I'll answer the question for you. If Ted Leonsis backed up a dump truck full of money to give you, you would have done the exact same thing.

No reason to be upset. There will be other resources for this in the future.

I was using General Fanager before, like many others. They were the reference after CapGeek went away. Vegas bought it when they came to the league and shut it down. Now it's Cap Friendly's turn.

It means that the Capitals management are too dumb to build their own software, bunch of idiots .
You any management would “build their own software”? They’d just pay for someone else to do it, which is effectively what the Caps are doing here.

But I did get to imagine Lou Lamoriello sitting in front of a computer trying to code because of your post, so thanks for that lmao.

Edit: obvious sarcasm went over my head in the moment this time for some reason lmao f*** me.

Frankly the NHL should step in but obviously Bettman doesn't believe fans love playing with cap stuff.

Bettman is right. It a huge mistake on EA Sports' part that they've added the GM-mode to their game when clearly the fans aren't interested.

They really aren’t. All the teams get the same data from the league. Capfriendly just put a nice coat of paint on it with some nice UI and easy to use parsing.

Good UI is very important to get to all the information.

**** CapFriendly too. Happy?

The site was used by a lot of people. Fans. Agents. Teams. Players. The NHL has already shown obliviousness to its fans in many ways. A team shutting down a resource is just another instance of the general population being **** on by lazy, corporate greed.

You don't need to blindly defend your team over everything.

Agents and journalists are probably the most affected. Capfriendly is cited in articles a LOT.

I already hated the Caps anyway, but this is just more reason to. I was active on the Armchair GM board and will miss a lot of the guys over there.

Plot twist, just because your team bought the website doesn't mean you won't be locked out of it like everyone else.
