Barbarian started good and I was legit kinda scared but then sorta lost me, kinda got dumb imo. I havenโ€™t seen a โ€œnewโ€ good scary movie in a long time

What do you classify as new? Have you seen any of the movies by Ari Aster, Jordan Peele, or Ti West?

Andor season finale went a different direction than I was expecting, but it was phenomenal. Post-credit Easter Egg as well. ;)

So well done!!!!

The post credit clip was perfect and heartbreaking all at once. Cass didn't know what they were making in Narkina, and I suppose we'd have forgiven the writers for never telling us, but to find out he was helping build, well, you know what, is so well done, just perfection. He helped build it, then helped destroy it, without ever knowing either of those things to have been true. He was also killed by it.

I liked Midsommer and Get out, didnโ€™t really care for Us. Iโ€™ve been meaning to watch Nope and Candyman.
I thought that Barbarian wasnโ€™t horrible but it sorta lost me with the creature lady

That was really cool. Glad Iโ€™ve gotten into the habit of at least scrolling through all the way to the end of the credits now.

Yeah Disney and Marvel are pretty much a lock for a post credit bit.

I'm glad they've already announced Andor will have a S2. Somewhere I read that it will ultimately just fold into Rebels (animated series) rather than butt up to Rogue One. Whatever they do, I'm down.

Midsommer is a gem. That movie creeped me out. I will NEVER go into the woods like that lol.

Get Out was very solidโ€ฆone time, but not much replay value. Nope was fun and not what I expected.

I have a buddy who also thought Barbarian was dumb. Different strokesโ€ฆ..

When you have watched a LOT of content, and you start scraping the barrel like me, especially in Horror where 8 out of 10 tend to not be good, these types of low budget movies I learned to appreciate moreโ€ฆ

The suspense at first was great, and I enjoyed the story how Justin long just came outta no where. Just thought it didnโ€™t need whatever that thing was to be scary, and I sorta took the movie not as serious after that

While I love Midsommar, if you haven't seen Hereditary yet, you absolutely must. It keeps all the constant anxiety and unsettling nature of Midsommar, but also has a lot more of "traditional" horror movie aesthetic and techniques. It's, without a doubt, the best horror movie of the past 10 years or so.

Nope is worth watching, but is the weakest of Peele's three directed movies, IMO. I saw it in theaters, but will need to watch it again at some point to fully flesh out my opinion. While Peele's other movies are relatively straight-forward with their messaging, Nope is much more ambiguous.

Apparently they originally wanted many more seasons, but decided that 2 would be a better way to tell the story. Rumor is that there will be time jumps between each of the 3-episode blocks in season 2. Andor S1 was set 5 years before Rogue One/Ep4 (BBY), and each of the episode blocks in S2 will apparently be getting 1 year closer to the events of Rogue One.

As for it rolling into Rebels, I assume that's referring to Mon Mothma's arc. We see her public defection to the Rebel Alliance during the Rebels cartoon.

I know the zombie movie/show market is over-saturated but it's hard for me to not get excited for this after playing both of the games.

Never got into the zombie thing. Didnโ€™t ever watch The Walking Dead or any of the 5,000 zombie movies that have come out in the last decade (except I Am Legend and Train to Busan) but I cannot wait for this. Might have to replay the games beforehand too.

Got off early today and watched โ€œDrive my carโ€ slow burn and sorta subtle storytelling. The older I get the more Iโ€™ve developed patience for these types of movies, my girlfriend hated it.. lol

Y'all got me to watch The Boys, was less "edge for the sake of edge" than I had expected and totally found a story to tell, so now I'm f***ed into paying attention to another "still running and willing to make your ass wait for more" series

In the process of rewatching Game of Thrones with my wife who has never seen it. Itโ€™s such a different experience binging it as opposed to watching it weekly. Daenerys character is so corny after Khal Drogo dies lol. We wrapped up season 7. I canโ€™t wait to see my wifeโ€™s disappointment at how shitty the final season and episode are.

Side note: I think season 6 is the best season for the show. So much goes on and thereโ€™s just some awesome storytelling to go along with it.
