Canucks & NHL News, Rumours, & Fantasy GM | Chaos Week

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Well, I guess the upside of no Trocheck to Anaheim means that they could still have interest in Petey

Still firmly believe that he'd only waive his NTC for the California teams

I really think LA is our best hope, I believe Petey’s wife is from there(correct me if I’m wrong).

Ken Holland is also not a bad GM to do business with. If he isn’t interested yet then hopefully Petey has a somewhat bounce back season and the Kings are in the playoff race next year looking for a top 6 C at the TDL

Have think canucks moves come after the draft when the shallow ufa cup is drained on day 1 and teams are still very thirsty.
The Canucks could be said to be laying a trap for those teams that still need to drink from the cup after the UFA pool is drained. A trap of thirst. A Canucks thirst trap.

According to multiple sources, the Seattle Kraken were given permission by Dallas to talk to Jason Robertson, and offered him approximately $15 million per year on a eight-year deal — but the offer was declined.

Neither the Stars nor the Kraken agreed to comment, nor did Robertson’s representative, Andy Scott.

It’s believed the two teams had worked out some kind of trade before the permission was granted, apparently including Seattle’s first-round pick — seventh overall in Friday’s draft.

Is this another guy that’s gonna say Vegas/Florida and that’s that?

Not those teams with the money he's seeking. Probably just wants a playoff team that can afford his ask like San Jose, Anaheim, or Philly

Maybe more the California teams since he's from there

San Jose seems like he preferred choice given he’s from California. I don’t see how Anaheim could fit him in.

Seattle needs to just stop and rebuild but I’m glad they aren’t.

Silly Ron, you could get like 3 DeBrusks for that money

May end up in the long term be the best thing for us, considering the 2027 draft is much deeper apparently and those picks will potentially be more easily thrown around after this years draft by GMs panicking to improve their team and knowing how unspectacular the 2026 UFA class is.

Panarin and Robertson both rejecting an income-tax free team is an indictment on the Kraken and how underwhelming they have been since entering the league. They are Columbus 2.0.

I get that they are trying to attract elite talent. But when you don’t have a single elite player on your team already it is nearly impossible to do.
