This management group is somehow worse than Benning. So tired of it. One of the worst run franchises in the world

I'm looking forward to the "Åman-for-a-fifth" last-minute trade for posterity's sake just so it looks like they were up to something.

They spent 4 seasons playing at a 110+ point pace but have had a ton of depth eroded in the last year and have fallen well off that this season.

They’re not in danger of falling out of the playoffs but their time as a top-5 team is closing off and turning two years of Necas into Stankoven is not a positive move for where that team is at.

I think they may "fall-off" from a team in President's Trophy contention to one that is still consistently among the best 6 to 8 teams in the league, and can maintain that long-term.

Is that "falling off" to be a sustainable contender?

They're still dominating play, their record may not show it but they're still elite. They lead the league in xGoals%, in line with previous seasons at about 56%.

I suspect with the big cap jumps, Aqua will no longer have the club as a cap team. He's already been cheaping out elsewhere, probably doesn't want to add ~$20M in salaries over the next few years.

The Yotes arent a drain anymore for the league, but It wouldnt surprise me if the cap projections arent going to be what they said. Theres lots of things like a weak Canadian dollar and the circus below us that could throw a wrench in finances

I think the tendonitis specialists and EDGE data analysts would disagree on Petey.

If JT pops off at a 90 point pace for a few years (like he's immediately done in NY) it's worth it for whatever they would have given up (a 1st, KK, and spare parts) even if JT is grumpy.
