Market for Myers just opened"

This is probably a joke, but It looks like they are giving Nemec the opportunity. They may want someone else in case of injury, but Myers and his cap hit probably aren’t the best option for them. They need another defensive LHD and to improve their goaltending.

Torn pec is 4-6 month recovery. So best case April which is just before the end of the season. So they can acquire someone for the rest of the season. If this was 10 weeks no chance they can take on Myers

Per Seravalli..Beauviller has been on the block for some time now, but they could not move him without a sweetener.

Basically, as soon as we acquired the player (a cap dump)..He was going to be flipped ASAP...He was never in the Canucks plans moving forward.

Sure they can. Whether that is the best use of the Hamilton LTIR cap space is another question. I think they have other holes they should fill first instead of using half of it on a bottom pairing RHD.

“It doesn’t matter if I scored … it doesn’t matter if my score doesn’t help the team,” he said after scoring Vancouver’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.

“I need to be better, this I understand. That’s why I haven’t played (as much) this season.”

It's okay it's okay it's no problem

We still love you

The single strangest thing about these boards is the Minnesota Bat Signal fan who only posts on the other team boards to tell posters that Wild players are NOT AVAILABLE whenever one gets randomly mentioned.
Nobody knows where the switch is

I'm having those crazy thoughts of wanting to trade EP for Barzal again like I did two years ago. That would be stupid though right?

I buy that they never saw him as a long term fit / very much so a guy who had to come to facilitate a trade...

however, i do think that they expected more from him and that's somewhat part of the reason that we did not get an additional asset in exchange for taking him on

now again, we were able to move him for a 5th.. but i just think it was a huge misstep and i felt very strongly at the time about this.

If they couldn't move him without a sweetener (and this is after Beauvillier had a career season) in the off season...I cant see how we could've expected any assets coming back this season.

The Canucks literally gave him away for free to the Hawks (the 5th is purely incidental..)..To me, that sounds like a fair rate of exchange for the Hawks to relieve us of a good chunk of cap.

No i didn't expect more. i expected them to have to pay to get out of Beauv. My point is that they should have been paid by NYI in the first place for taking him on with two years left

Go here

Read a little bit.. you will feel better

I hope we go after Pesce this offseason. That would pretty much set up our top 4 for the forseeable future if ew resign Zadorov

Hughes, Hronek, Pesce, Zadorov, Soucy with room for Woo, Wallinder, D Petey to potentially take a spot out of camp or we can use the mroe established guys like Wolanin, Juulsen, Hirose, McWard

Another player I would really want if he becomes available is Lawson Crouse. He is exactly what this team needs

Canucks look like they need a good bit of more work before they are contenders. But the management group have been making some good moves. Kuzmenko made comments in the offseason about how his slack offseason wouldn’t affect his game and how management was annoying with bugging him about it. He looks like crap out there, clearly he was not prepared for the season.

Not against trading Myers, but something is appealing about having Zadorov and him on the same unit. Maybe Zadorov's edge rubs off on him. Going to be somewhat mistake-prone, but when Myers plays nasty it'll be an entertaining group.

Hughes-Hronek
Cole-Zadorov
Soucy-Myers

What about... what about moving Myers at 50% retained. This would create $3million in cap space. Soucy and Zadorov make Myers more redundant. Both are 6'5' + upgrades.
Then use that extra cap money in a Tanev trade.

First Pair: Hughes Hronek
Second Pair: Soucy Tanev
Third Pair: Cole Zadorov

Sub 1: Friedman
Sub 2: Juulsen

----
If this is crazy unreasonable then sign Bear and scratch Myers. I would legit do that if Bear looks good.

How are you posting this like it's new? The minute the trade was announced it was understood that Beauvillier was a capdump. The money to make it work.
