Looking through the NHL shot block leaders and Mario Ferrero is #2. Alexandre Carrier is #10, Chris Tanev is #12, and Sean Durzi #32. Pulock, Lybushkin and Matheson are on the list aswell.

Carrier, Durzi, Lybushkin, Pulock and Tanev are all right handed shots.

I wouldn't mind investigating in a trade involving one of these defenseman. Really like the sounds of Pulock and Carrier. Both would help bigtime in our top 4.
Could one of these defenseman be had for a reasonable cost?

Pulock is vastly different than all other names mentioned.

He won’t be available.

Carrier will have a lot of interest so price won’t be super cheap.

Last year they couldn't find a buyer for Boeser.

This year his contract has a positive value and his season couldn't be going better.

The sentimentalists may object but if the Nucks want to continue to building towards a championship, it may be time to move him for a "Horvat" like return.

Who replaces his production? He’s the best winger we have on this team.

Besides the assets they might get in return, and perhaps Raty, who seems to have picked it up, and Letterkenny in the future, maybe they can just try their 39 goal scorer net front on the power play where he is unlikely to whiff on as many shots as Boeser does currently and play Hronek on the left boards?

it is funny to say after so much time of viewing him as a surplus piece who was not part of our future, but i think we need boeser to sustain what we are doing right now.

That's a bold move, but could make sense depending on the return for Boeser of course. It'd hurt like hell, but if trading him cements our d-core for the next 4-5 years, we'd have to consider it I think.

I think the main thing that's changed is moving out Horvat.

Boeser has moved into the Horvat role on the PP seamlessly and I don't see someone else on the roster who can do that right now. You would probably have to completely revamp things and move someone like Miller there and that causes some other issues.

Boeser’s tied for the goal scoring lead right now with Kucherov.
To say he’s had a bounce back year would be an understatement. Small sample size but if he can keep playing at even close to this level for the whole year that’s a really valuable player at his cap hit.
Thank god we didn’t trade the guy for peanuts when he was struggling and they were reportedly shopping him around the last year or so.
I’d hate to see him doing this elsewhere.
He and Miller are really the only elite goal scorers the team has. Trading him when he’s playing at this level just creates another massive hole.

not just the pp. he is paying much better 5 on 5 and defensively than in the past. offensively he is our third best forward by a very significant margin and he's playing as well as injured pettersson at the moment.

The only ones that are this volatile on their player evaluations are you guys? This whole sell high dialogue is quite funny

I mean, his trajectory in the last year has been extremely volatile. It would be strange if you didn't have volatile evaluation of this player over that course of time. He has gone from a borderline healthy scratch who other teams wanted retention on to one of the top goal scorers in the league and a value at his current contract.

Acknowledging his poor play early last season, his improved play in the second half of last season, and his very good/great play this season is how he should have been evaluated? It would be weird for someone to just insist Boeser is good or Boeser is bad during that entire stretch.

Certainly Boeser is a case of volatility due to circumstances people may have underestimated but you can bet your ass teams will use that against us in a negotiation. Small sample, slow, huge salary, only 1 plus year of certainty, winger values vs C or D.

What is your idea of selling high?

I've said this recently and I'll say it again - no interest in trading Boeser right now. The team is winning and trying to make the playoffs and he's a big part of it. If the team goes into some massive freefall OR he regresses back to being a bad contract then deal with it then.
