Would be the most Canuck thing ever to go on a heater to build "chemistry and culture and hit the ground running next year" then trade Miller and dump Boeser after that line drives the team from the 6th pick where the lottery winner comes from to 12th

Also I'm starting to cringe everytime Saravelli opens his mouth about the Canucks. Miller starts with a 9, Horvat starts with a 9, Hronek starts with a 7 cant wait for him to say Pettersson starts with a 15.

Amen

I dont think i remember seeing anything come feom him worthwhile in quite sometime

Of course when it takes someone 50 words to say what 10 words can i am usually skeptical

At least JT Miller’s value has recovered with his second half. Canucks biggest leverage in any trade is that they don’t need to trade him.

I think the Canucks are wisely keeping their options open. If teams like Carolina, Vegas, Florida, or Minnesota have ugly exits from the playoffs—we might see some assets shake loose that may not have been available before.

Given how this season has evolved—I fully expect to see Miller back here next year.

He's not stupid. He knows how to turn the right amount of drama within a somewhat realistic scope to get the fanbase fired up and hanging on his words that's for sure. He's connected and puts the stories together well but it's short sighted tabloids in most cases that generates a wow factor and thats what is off putting.

He literally went from the JT Miller campaign saying i dont know why you would trade him 90pt C's dont grow on trees and it may take another 10yrs to find one and 9 million is an easy starting point to less than 6 months later saying i dont know how you move that contract at 8 million.

You just have to take it with a grain of salt. It's always good to hear his perspectives he's smart and a good communicator and has connections but he also has to generate interest so will be prone to hyperbole

Boeser and Miller have a 46% GF at 5 on 5 under Tocchet.

They’re not driving anything. This simplistic viewpoint is why the same group who rehabbed the culture last season didn’t carry on this season.

Looks like we traded the right Center at least.
I would have liked to re sign Bo but at 8.5 million x 8 we dodged a massive bullet.

I was struggling with 7-7.5 with him on a super human heater. It's already coming back down to earth in a major way in NY without players to carry the play for him.

Islander fans already saying "well he's not a line driver but solid and can win faceoffs". "More of a complimentary player he needs Barzal" "He will be better if/when we get in the playoffs" "would have preferred we went after Meier" "Would have been smarter to use the assets on a high end piece not another solid player"

This is a crazy idea and I definitely don’t want him on the team but
Could we buy out OEL and then sign him for league minimum ?
Having his cap at the buy out numbers plus 1 million

God damn it I’m a genius

Would happily accept sliding 6 spots in the draft to clear that much salary.

Seriously.

the post was obviously rhetorical for the most part.

I have stopped believing all media to be honest , especially Friedman who starts every sentence with “I think….” So what he is saying is he has no facts to report …. Frankly I find “the Media “ to be too toxic and rumour- mongering and a bit dangerous…

Listened to this last night but here's the notes from my memory.

-as previously discussed, doesn't sound like anything is going to happen between the Canucks and Livingstone
-unsure if Hirose is leaving college (this doesn't make much sense, he turns 24 in two weeks)
-Canucks in on Max Sasson; have a lot of interest in Malinski (plays today at 1pm)
-have offered a college free agent an ATO but doesn't know which one
-says Myers due on September 15th; Sekeres and Price ask if the Canucks can pay earlier and Dhaliwal gets weirdly angry about the question and calls them idiots while they are pretty flabbergasted at his resistance to the question; S&P correctly point out that paying the Myers that late is counter to the idea that he's an appealing trade target in the off-season; don't remember which but one of the three mentions that the Canucks have had odd timing on contract dates in the past on the insistence of ownership for liquidity reasons; Dhaliwal says he'll ask JP Berry if the team can pay earlier and will get back to them next week
-Dhaliwal uses Gavrikov as a purely hypothetical UFA target (yeah...sure)

So....a bunch of nonsense. Appreciate the summary. Saves me from watching that YT video.

It's kind of the nature of the business with insiders. You're almost never going to hear them say "100% this is going to happen because _____ told me so. "

I can appreciate at least when they do preface something with "this is just me here, I'm not hearing anything..."

Kuzmenko was speaking up a lot in the recent Beauvillier mic'd up video. There was some interesting tone in how he was speaking with Beau, and there was a spot where Yeo told them how to make a play when a something happens in the dzone and immediately after Kuz goes "it doesnt matter [if that happens] do this, do this" and Beau was kind of disagreeing.

And I tend to think go with what Kuz says, this guy is clearly incredibly high hockey IQ. I wonder if hes voicing disagreements with the coaching staff and thats why theyve been benching him
