Just curious since i was borned and raised in the "old world" but isnt it illegal? I couldnt help myself but was always sort of confused how nobody cared about the scalpers, they are even standing 30 feet away from the official selling point at Rogers Arena and screaming "Tickets...selling tickets"

It's about as illegal as smoking pot in this province. Don't blatantly shove it in a police officers face and no one will bat an eye.

StubHub is pretty much entirely dependent on bots and scalpers for concerts and has a relation to Ticketmaster who is supposed to be preventing that bs. It's all a giant scam that was extremely evident during the Tragically Hip and Red Hot Chilli Peppers ticket sales this year.

Thanks to you and arttk for clearing this up. Still seems to be very hypocrite to me with all the posters / warnings hanging around Rogers Arena only to have the same 4-5 guys hanging around each and every game selling tickets. Its been a year inbetween my visits to Vancouver and when i went back to the Arena for my first game this march it kind of felt i met "old friend" when i saw those guys as i knew exactly who they were before they even spouted off "tickets..." and i never even bought a ticket from them.

Hey man, Vancouver has direct flights to Frankfurt! I don't know what city you're in, but the universe is trying to make it as smooth as possible.

I used that last march but the round trip is still like €700-800 and I am living like 400km away from Frankfurt. So even in the best case a trip to Van is taking me like 14 hours. Still waiting for a hyperloop connection.

I think the scalpers also make a point of staying off Rogers Arena land so that they won't be hit by some penny ante fine for trespassing or the like.

Who wants to go protest outside of Rogers?

Because that worked out so well last time?

Best fan protest....

1.) Don't spend money on the team.
2.) Tell everyone you know to stop spending money on the team
3.) Spend time with your kids...
4.) Live a happier life
5.) Re-evaluate when the next management team is hired

Dark times at Rodgers Arena

No one really knows what is next. severe lack of leadership.

Higher Management not in the office. Always a sign in the past that something is coming down

Or just stop going to games completely, that'll do more then protesting, hit business with your money, hit politics with protesting.
I feel that a massive drop in attendance would be read by ownership as the fans demanding a winner, leading to the sacrifice of even more future for quick non-fixes.

I guess it's easy to sit at home and type on a computer but not so easy when you gotta go out in the cold and hold a placard and yell slogans.

Speaking of which, we need a slogan. And need a social media person to help coordinate the social media stuff.

I'm serious. Enough is enough. These clowns are ruining this team and the media can only do so much.

Not in office as in off scouting some kid that looks real good or as in half their stuff is packed in cardboard boxes?

It is less illegal than smoking pot. BC has no legislation limiting scalping and there is no Federal legislation.

Well "Fire Gillis" seemed to work for the protesters last time. I don't see why "Fire Benning" can't work. Simple, short, effective.

It may be less illegal than smoking pot but I could legally go buy pot right now in about 5 different locations in a 5 block radius from my office in downtown Victoria. Still gotta buy scalped tickets off the streets or online, no physical StubHub or scalper offices/dispensaries, yet.

Thats what I am afraid of too. Dont know how to "translate" the message of what is want right now without ownership misinterpreting it a need to re-inforce the team with immidiate help.

Then they'd lose more fans, they can't make moves at this point to make the Canucks competitive and I believe they know it, they have to accept a rebuild and as long as fans go to games they will keep going ahead.

We need a home base somewhere close by to congregate and to hold the placards and stuff. Ideally at Tinsel town. Lots of parking there.

We need financial support to make the placards and pamphlets that we'll be handing out to all the Rogers arena goers.

We'll start small but the key is starting. These clowns answer to us. These morons are screwing up our Sedins, our Burrows, our Virtanen, our Edler, our Horvat...

Hey mods. Does HFboards have a sedition policy? Cuz I'm feeling mighty seditious right now.

Keep going ahead into the gutter while wasting the twilight years of the Sedins?

Rogers needs to be a ghost town.
