Sure, they are given a rudimentary amount of cliches and ways to answer the media's questions...but it's not like after every game they are coached what to say.

It's insulting to peoples intelligence to keep spouting off all these "I thought we looked better"/"we played a good game" quotes. I can understand being positive, but people want accountability, not fluff.

That's what the fans want but it's not what the team wants, and the players are employed by the team.

If you asked this question last year the popular answer was AV.

Was it? I thought he was part of the problem, still do, and the team needed a change, and they did, but I don't think he was blamed as the sole cause. That's a reach on your part.

they will be losing the rest of the games. no addition will help this team now. time to gut the entire roster at the deadline.

Still doesn't mean he should be playing.

Uh, if the Canucks are useless without him and he's more than able to play, he's going to play. He's driving the bus here, it's his call if he thinks he's jeopardizing himself or the team, and you just have to trust that he knows more about his own health than you do.

tortorella all but benches kassian - one of our most consistent and productive players recently - for one false move early in the game. we end up getting shut out because nobody was producing anything

way to go, brainiac

This constant placement of Kassian in the doghouse is getting completely ridiculous. At what point does a GM step in and tell his coaches to stop ****ing around his players? Because AV pulled this garbage, too.

It's going to be funny when the Sedins put up points at the Olympics and everyone will say it's because they care more and not blame Torts' ******* system.

If healthy, I'm assuming they'll have more success on a bigger ice and where there will be more penalties called so players can't bear hug them anymore.

Torts isn't sugarcoating it tonight.

"We need to change this hockey team. We were a slow team. Lack of offence. This really worries me" - Torts”

Who cares? It doesn't stop Torts from saying what he likes when he likes...it doesn't stop various players (Kesler, Bieksa, etc) from going off script occasionally. You can tell the truth and not make the franchise look bad, I think they look like idiots when they try BS'ing their way through interviews.

Gillis: "Ummm....Diaz....hello?!?"

Yea, I guess Kassian can't be that guy after you bench him for an entire period for one ******* penalty.

Seriously, Torts... I think YOU need to change the complexion of your doghouse. What's the problem? That Kassian is the hairiest person on the team and thus belongs in the doghouse? Is Betamax's comment on keeping our players tidy somehow valid?

Well they were useless with him, and he's clearly not more than able to play if he's not participating in one of the major facets of his position.

We watched Brendan Morrison shrivel into nothing because of an Iron Man streak - the "gotta play at all costs" mentality isn't always beneficial.

Do the Canucks need roster changes? Torts: yes, we need to change the complexion of our team

RING RING RING! Hey Gillis, Torts even says we need changes. The dead weight or the inconsistency from the AV era is done, this teams complexion needs a face lift

I hope the Bruins kick the absolute living hell out of this team. Completely and utterly embarrass our line-up. I hope this is a blow-out on the level of what Anaheim did to us.

I want this team's spirit to be completely and absolutely destroyed, so they can stop thinking they are any shred of what they had THREE YEARS AGO.

This team needs a bloody wake-up call. Gillis, you still need to re-tool. GET ON IT.

This guy gets it!

Really? The losing streak is enough without seeing Luongo hung out to dry with 6-0 and 9-0 scores.
