He's a late bloomer in the aspect that he's reached his peak and it's replacement level.I dont think Desharnais has been a disappointment. He has been inconsistent though. He will play 2 excellent games then a poor one.
I like the size , toughness, and most of all Penalty Killing that he can bring especially in a 7 game series. He seems to also be a late bloomer with lots of growth in his game to go. Adam Foote and Gonchar will hopefully be able to help his game much like they did for Tyler Myers.
I would take on that risk for the right deal. Power or (Byram) and Cozens for Pettersson is something I would personally look at. I think Peter does better in a different market. I don’t know how close that value is, but some pieces can be added on either side to. Balance it out.Owen Power is your guy
I get EP has had a rough stretch and maybe part of that is the fit or style or lingering injury, who knows? But they would never make a trade that they are worse after. The real EP at some point will find his game so unless a team was trading for that version, the nucks would never trade him.I would take on that risk for the right deal. I think Power and Cozens for Petersson is something that could work out..Not sure of any more parts would need to be added to make it work.I would take on that risk for the right deal. I've thrown out this idea before, but something like Marcus Pettersson for Elias Pettersson (defenseman) and a 2nd makes a lot of sense to me on paper. Penguins get a prospect that is a super similar stylistic fit to Marcus while the Canucks get a nice top-4 upgrade for a fairly modest price.
Some fans on here think that Pettersson could bring back a 1st at the deadline, but personally I think a B prospect and a 2nd is a bit more realistic.
I wonder if Dante Fabbro would be on the Canucks radar.
This. Allvin, love him but he might've biffed it with the blueline this summer. Just hold off and try to survive with this terrible second pair until the deadline.Honestly with Pettersson playing like he has, Demko being a question mark and the overall team defense being much worse than last year so far, they should probably wait to see if the team can find its form before they do anything. There’s no use wasting assets for this year if they’re not playing well.
Has he declined? He was untouchable 1-2 years ago. Soucy (salary), Raty, 1st, 2nd?What would you be willing to pay for K'Andre Miller?
