Dobson would be one of the only realistic players id consider moving Willander for since they are both RHD and Dobson is only 24 yrs old and would fit the age window of Q Hughes and Pettersson. Hronek is signed long term so there is really only 1 RHD core spot available for Canucks.

Id start with:

1st, 2025
2nd 2026
Tom Willander
I would still keep Willander, he will be a gem. And we need his ELC contract. Dobson will soon need a big contract that we wont be able to afford

Canucks should be interested just for the entertainment factor of overtime hockey and putting out a lineup of Pettersson , Pettersson, Petterson.

Jokes aside. he would be a very good target for the Canucks. I'm not convinced about his puck moving abilities tho, can you elaborate more on this part of his game
He’s solid, but not spectacular puck mover. Simple plays that get the puck up the ice. Will look guys off before making the pass. Positioning and IQ are probably his best assets. Not physical in the slightest and not much scoring potential.

Right now he’s playing with EK which has to be difficult.

They would want from you what you'd want for Hughes. Dobson is a top 10 RD. Your offer is missing 1 piece, the main one.

I could see Provorov being a good fit in Vancouver. And the Canucks have the assets that Columbus would be interested in:

To Vancouver: Provorov, 2025 4th round pick

To Columbus: Hoglander, Forbort, Woo, Kunz, 2026 6th

I don't really see how this helps Columbus much. But i guess it really comes down to how they feel about Hoglander. The rest of that is just trash and spare parts.

But i think there are other teams that'd step up with offers better than Hoglander for Provorov.

He'd be a great fit. I think he's exactly the sort of defenceman that RikTok/Foote have gotten a lot out of by "settling down" their game, but much much better. But any deal for him is starting with a 1st round pick and going from there. Unless CBJ brass are convinced Hoggy is something that he's really not.

Pry Mike Matheson out of Montreal. Unlikely but would be a perfect fit.

There is no world that Sabres are trading him outside of an extreme overpay.

Would Canucks and Islanders do something like Boeser for Pulock?

it's too much of an addition by subtraction. Fix one problem but create another. Plus the Canucks need a 2nd pairing left shot more pertinently. Adding Pulock creates a space issue for Willander in the near future.

I don't typically pencil in prospects to the NHL level but Willander is about a sure thing as it gets.

That won't be enough. Dobson will cost the equivalent of a max offer sheet to pry from NYI
