We could also sign Staal and Demers instead...but that requires some foresight and not just being reactive.

We could also gamble on Dal Colle for a replacement (also inferior) for Gadjovich.

Both staal and demers are cooked. We’d be better off playing our ahl plugs. Right ideology, wrong players

I don't disagree, they were just top of the list of remaining UFAs as far as points scored were concerned. I'm sure there will be better options on waivers, eventually, but would many present choices be uncooked at this point? Everyone on waivers hit them for a reason, and not every team has a management group as stupid as ours.

When Myers and Poolman are your top two RD, plucking an RD off waivers to fill in the 3rd pair might not be the answer.

Canucks don’t ever get decent players for free. We do however, lose decent players for nothing all the time.

Only players we ever get for free are scrubs.

Why would Canucks leak that they are looking for players at those positions on waivers? It will now make other teams hesitant/come up with other plans if they have a player that fits that profile that they like onto waivers.

That's because you guys haven't heavily looked for players until now

There’s obviously something going on behind the scenes that nobody knows about, that being said nobody would put on waivers a person going through serious family problem, so that story looks to be false.

Not sure how you draw that conclusion…. He’s on a one way deal and is getting paid regardless of being waived. It’s still a business and the Canucks can’t afford to pay a guy 3 million to sit on the active roster.
