I'm sure the Caucks will take a look.

Luke Schenn is currently our 3rd pairing RD and he looks like an ECHL player out there. love the guy but he cant be relied on to be an NHL regular.

He's worse than what I've seen of Schenn. Granted it was a 9 game cup of coffee but man it was bad.

Is Sutter out long term? Wouldn't mind a swap of him for Russell. He's a LD but has played plenty on the right-side.

Why would Canucks leak that they are looking for players at those positions on waivers? It will now make other teams hesitant/come up with other plans if they have a player that fits that profile that they like onto waivers.
LOL. do you really think teams have knee jerk reactions like that? There are so many players going on waivers this time a year, teams are going to put the players on waivers that makes the most sense to them and not think about the needs of 30 other hockey clubs. Cmon now...

DA FUQ?????????

Fluery and Juulsen were both just on waivers.

if this rumor was true then they would have claimed them or one
I don’t think either guy would have been an upgrade on what they have

He’s a centre? Any scouting info?
Yeah, Otto Kouivula. Had some decent showing in the AHL. Big body that can pot some goals. The few times he's played on the big club he seemed sound positionally and physically. Just most of us think he's too slow to really make it in the NHL. There's doubt on how much he can improve that part of his game. Doubt he'll ever get a shot on the Island, might be able to work his way into an NHL lineup on another club that gives him an extended look.

Perfect, we have 3-4 centers who can score; Fogarty ahead of Sutter would be great esp. if he can stay healthy.
He wouldn’t be bad at 4C at all. Looked good with Buffalo last year against NYR. Very good leader too I’m pretty sure he had a letter in Hartford

can see kuhlman as a fit if they're looking for bottom 6 guys. b's have a lot of bodies up front.
great wheels, solid & steady guy, loves to drive the net but lacks finish.

Abbotsford BC native Derek Grant may be available through trade, could fill in at center and/or slide to a wing as needed.

The Ducks are lacking quality but do have quite a bit of depth at center - Zegras, Henrique, Getzlaf, Lundestrom, Steel, Grant, Carrick all returning and young Bo Groulx looks like he's nearly ready as well.

Trading away Grant replacing him with Carrick who makes half the money, seems like a good move for Anaheim.

For as long as the Canucks go without shoring up their RHD situation, I can't help but wonder if Manson would be a great fit. But by all means please take Shattenkirk instead.

No joke, Calgary could do worse than Cole Bardreau. Guy has a motor, super hard worker, would be a fan favorite quickly as a fill-in. I'd love to see him back in Bridgeport, u=but it'd be great to see him back in the NHL.

Ottawa has Zub, Zaitsev, Brown, Mete, and Brannstrom on the right side. Could potentially get Brown for a 4th round pick if waiver wire guys don't fit the bill.

Could see the Canucks bringing in Mete. Old teammate of Juolevi, might motivate him a little bit. Not exactly a defensive defenseman but the Canucks could use puck-moving option on the right side if Myers is injured.

Edit: maybe someone can clarify how Mete has looked in his own zone over the past ciiple of seasons?

Is there something the Flames need we didn't know we needed?

This is Jim Benning we're talking about. He probably just...ran out of time to put in a claim.

That said, Engvall or Brooks from Toronto will end up on waivers and Vancouver should absolutely put in a claim.

Calling it now - Kevin Stenlund will be the odd man out in Columbus at center (Sillinger, Roslovic, Jenner, Texier, Kuraly) and be picked up on waivers.

He's slow skating but is a big guy with a long reach.

You know your right side is poor when you're hoping for an upgrade through the waiver wire. Thanks Jim
