I thought Cang did a really good job. Maybe not a great hockey guy, but a true pbp craftsman.

NJ teams, whether it be the Dev's or the Nets when they were in state, have always had good announcers, so hopefully that pans out and we find a good replacement.

I wouldn't describe him as a natural great, but I always got the sense he worked real hard at being the best pbp guy he could be. He's no Doc, but how could he be?

When I look around the league, I really think we were lucky to end up with him.

I like the idea of bringing "Donnie Pucks" back home. "Kid" probably in his early 30's doing radio for Vegas grew up a Devils fan and had a stint calling the then Trenton Devils of the ECHL. Please just someone worthy of the job...

Okay....I admit I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed here but I just noticed this bit of news......*NOW*.

One other thing I will say about Steve :

When he arrived after Doc left, I thought to myself that I will never get used to his calls and play-by-play as I(along with many of us) were spoiled by Doc.

But over time, he grew on me and grew on us with his enthusiastic and unique "SHOT, SCAAAAAR!" goal-scoring calls that were fun and at times Meme'able.

Now that he's gone, we will have to get used to yet another New Voice...I don't know who that will be (Would Matt Loughlin be a good replacement?) but we will miss Cangy.
