This is the Canes game, like it or not. They get leads and then they focus on keeping the lead over creating offensive opportunities. Especially when they're missing a bunch up front.

It doesn't matter when you're this consistently good defensively. They know that this is how they need to win games without a 1C. This is why the Canes are still, despite some anxieties, a top-flight club.

not sure how I feel about that one, great defensively, Koochie is spectacular, many contributions from ALMOST everybody (I’m lookin at you TiVo), they really gutted it out. But they should be able to put more pucks in the net, that will come back to haunt them if they don’t figure that out.
