Just like unintended high stickYeah, it's a penalty. You can't play with a broken stick, and he did. He made like two plays on the puck. I don't think he knew, and I probably wouldn't have called it, but it IS a penalty. There's nothing in the rulebook about intent, knowing the stick is broken, etc.
Did you start having special feeling about this team yet? You recently complained about it compared to the last years version (I doubt you had that feeling in December of 2021)Agreed. That felt special
This team legit thru away 5 games they had 2 goal leads in November those should have been wins. We know they should have been wins. They know it. And then mailed in a couple against Ottawa and Chicago as a result. But this team is too good to not be a top team in this division. I gotta think we’re at the half way point here they’ve beaten some really good teams. The devils are giving home ice back up for grabs so a win Thursday then facing New Jersey off 3 in 4 nights. We’ll have the advantage
Yeah they're gonna have to polish the shit out of him, he plays in his own zone like Stevie Wonder. He has all the tools. Right now they're scattered all over the God Damned garage. He can be learning on his ELC. When he signs that next contract, he's gonna want to get paid like a grown up. If he doesn't play like one it's going to be a major problem. You are way off about KAM. He had some good and some bad tonight. He has some elite skills and skating ability but does still need to be more polished on the defensive side which he is still learning. He's going to be a monster when he becomes more consistent.
Which is also annoying, because Halak was certainly not the problem in all of those games. Team just played absolutely horrendous in front of him.Igor Shestyorkin with an incredible 18-6-5 record when the team is 21-12-6. He’s third in the NHL in goalie wins.
That leaves Halak with a 3-6-1 record.
Think Vesey shifted last second and it went knee on knee and Pesce got the worst of it.From the opposition:
“Pesce had that little Vesey shit lined up to knock him into orbit with an open ice hit and pulled off at the last second.”
This, apparently was a Big Moment tonite, but I missed its significance. Shame on me.
Seriously tho - Altho I am a big fan of Mr Jimmy, his line stunketh on ice tonite. GG needs to tweak the blender a bit more to find a better balance among the bottom 6.
Yea I scrolled over to their board for a bit. It looks like they are about to have nervous breakdowns every time the Rangers score or a goal or even make a pass. What losers. The level of obsession with us is so cringe. It’s gotta be really hard to be a Devils fan. You’ve gotta watch all your games, AND every Rangers game. That’s a lot of hockey. Busy schedule for them. They whine more about us than the teams we beat.
Rangers are only a power play team: Statistically dominated the Canes 5v5
Rangers always get every lucky bounce: Literally have gotten no luck and always look for perfect goals besides yesterday.
For all that hockey they watch, they’re also kind of dumb.
No I'm talking about the Lafreniere thread on the main boards or him on the Carolina boardI don't think so?
I went and double checked to see if he even posted anywhere else recently and are you talking about his post on the Vancouver board last postseason that was sarcastically poking at a known Vancouver shit stirrer poster
Yea but like riding the short bus to school "Special"Do start having special feeling about this team yet?
You're 100% correct. I meant more like, not only did he not immediately drop his stick, but he made attempts to play with it, unintentional or not. And at that point the referee probably felt like he had no choice but to make the call. We see instances pretty regularly of guys breaking their stick, skating a few strides, realizing it's broken, and then dropping it, and that's never called. I think this one was called because the guy actually tried to play the puck and the referee couldn't let it go because of that.Someone can correct me, but I don't think it has anything to do with playing the puck. If your stick breaks and you skate around holding it, it's a penalty.
He has 40 points … on the 1 seed team37 year old Brent Burns who has this season and two more at $8M per?
Head scratcher.

The bottom6 is much better with Brodz on it.
Laffy Chytil Gauthier
Goodrow Brodz Vesey
do it.
Brent Burns is costing Carolina with his defensive zone f***ups almost every period. Go over on the Canes board, they hate him and he's not getting any younger.
While I don't think he has actually been good and more of just not being a trainwreck, I think Harpur has been better than Jones or Hajek in that bottom pair LD spot. I also think that as he is a stay at home defensemen, it has given confidence to Schneider to be a bit more aggressive offensively, which has been noticeable the last few games. I still think that is the most obvious spot for an upgrade at the deadline, but Harpur has played well enough that I am comfortable with him being the 7D on the roster after an upgrade on from a trade.Look, when Ben Harpur put that huge hit on was it Jesper Fast (silent J on the Jesper vs. a hard J for Jesper Bratt), I knew we were going to win this game. That hit got the Trouba Train rolling, as Captain Mumbles laid two big hits to follow, one on Sketchnikov.
So, thank you Ben Harpur, for all that you do.

They’re going for it .
Ben Harpur isn’t going for it .
Well said. At this point, KAM is at worst a high end middle pair defensemen. That is a really good floor for a 22 year old defenseman. In the past year, he has gotten much better with his decision making and also has gotten much more physical. He is in a really good situation with our team. He gets a lot of good minutes, but does not need to be the top pair guy. He gets to play with a veteran defensemen who can do a little bit of everything so it allows KAM to be able to do a little bit of everything. I still think the sky is the absolute limit for him.22 Years old and does things on the ice no other player on this team can because of his size and skating. Dmen don't develop quickly not to mention he hasn't been playing defense his entire life. Also he is playing with Trouba who has been far from perfect.
It's a joy watching a dman (or any player) on this team that can actually take the puck end to end and try to threaten at the other end of the ice late in a game when it's tied.
He has 28 points.where are you getting 40 from?He has 40 points … on the 1 seed team
