Not technically Habs related, but it is regarding a draft eligible player. Sherbrooke just traded Ethan Gauthier to Drummondville (his dad works for them)

And what do they have in common that would make the front office love them so much?
Whatever it is, I hope it isn’t the same thing Bobrov and Gorton chased in their time in New York.

I see the “has Jam and can play with the puck” concept but I’m a traditionalist a bit — I just want a few point producing classic playmakers.

There's this big interview with him that dropped a couple of days ago...

wow, long interview. I have a translation app/extension added to chrome for youtube, so I can understand a little. But there are so many idioms that some is lost in the word for word translation.

It’s a gift on a silver platter if SJ picks Smith.

Looking forward to seeing the Habs organization try to reinvent the wheel though. It’s what we do.

Columbus might take him for all we know. He went to eat with them. So the door is not closed there either.
A few weeks ago, a Columbus media pundit said they were super high on Smith. It is quite possible that they take Smith over Carlsson. SJ might still take Carlsson thought.

I've seen Slafkovsky ranked anywhere from 6 to 10 if he was in this year's draft, Wright around 10. Don't know about the others.

That's about right although i would increase the range to 4-12th as i could see teams picking Benson , Dvorsky , Leonard and Reinbacher before Wright. Top 3 would likely still be Bedard , Fantilli and Carlsson. Then from 4th onward it would be a free for all with Slaf , Cooley , Nemec , Smith and Michkov fighting for 4th and 5th

Would be an epic draft for sure lol

While it’d be better for us to pick in the top 4, it’s somewhat exciting to be just outside and speculating on suprises that might happen after #1. One slightly off-the-board pick and all bets are off

“He’s a Boston kid. He was at high school with my oldest son for a year before he left for the [USNTDP],” Sharks GM Mike Grier shared.

If that's how GM are going to build momentum on their "try to hide who I'm picking" game, I'm thankful Kent Hughes knows like half of the Boston area kids (and all the USPD ones) available in this and the next 2-3 drafts.

Where would Slafkovsky, Nemec, Cooley, and Wright rank this year?
Pronman put out a top 10 list combining last years top prospects with this years top prospects a few days ago.

It was posted in one of these threads but I can't find it now so hopefully someone has it and can post his combined rankings again.
