Well, I am not mad so I will add my two bits. The Toronto fans have branded the maple leaves as some kind of Gods playing on the ice and if you think I am trolling I am not. I would love to cheer for Toronto but I can not see the day happening. It's already known the leaves will win the cup and they already have the parade on stand by now . The W.H.O will come out and say all Toronto fans are immune to the covid virus and the minister will allow the parade to happen . Hell if you look up Nostridumis
you will see even he had talked about the leaves winning the cup in 2021.

Dude what the hell are you talking about?

I've never been a fan of a more pessimistic group than Leaf fans - even with big gap in the division and some really convincing performances, most of the fan base is still waiting for the collapse.

I get that you want to paint the entire fan base with this broad brush because of a couple loud mouth fans bantering on the mainboards. That's just indulging in some bitter feelings you've got.

Most Maple Leaf fans are actually waiting till the playoffs before getting too excited. This team has caused us too much hurt to be so confident this early. I personally am enjoying being in a weak division. Four of the top six teams so far are from the Atlantic division. Its nice not having to worry about catching Boston/Tampa for once.

lol so true, I won't feel real happiness until we can conquer our demons in Boston or Tampa. Winning this division would give me very little satisfaction, I really don't care as long as we get in.

What would an All Team North Division squad look like?

Matthews - MacDavid - Marner
Connors - Drasaitl - Scheifele
Boeser - Pettersson - Ehlers
JG - Lindholm - B. Tkachuk

Chabot - Petry
Morrissey - Nurse
Q. Hughes -Tanev

Helle
Markstrom

That's my best shot. Tough not to have M. Tkachuk, Nylander, PLD and Tavares in there.

So, then if the Leafs advance to the semi-finals with Philadelphia and Florida instead of Boston and Tampa Bay, you have no chance of being happy even if they win the Cup? :)

It is called sarcasm.

Leaf fans have already decided they have the best team ever with only 14 games played. The Leafs may end up being the best team by the end of the season but there is a lot of hockey to be played before that is determined.
Is that what we decided? can't just have a good team? Has to be some childish extreme? Are you our new spokesperson?

That is not what we think but great story. Clearly fans of your team are all bad psychics.....

The Leafs have to win the division and then beat another division leader in the playoffs to be considered a cup contender for some. And I get it.

For others, they’ll have to get to a Cup final in a non covid season to be considered a contender. Get that too.

Others will never see the Leafs as a good team even if they win a cup this year or next year. Hate gets the best of them. Some know the game and others don’t watch anything but their teams and have never played a game of hockey.

Sad thing is that the third group isn’t small.

100% disagree with this...you win a cup. You deserve it. You are a great team at least for that year and no one can ever take that away from you.

This persecution complex is getting out of hand.

Well in my experience all fan bases do this.

Canuck fans thought greatness after last years playoffs.

Hab fans won the cup last week.

Oiler fans think they are winning the division and that Tyson Barrie will win the Norris after a few good games.

I think it's simply called passion and homerism.

Don't forget Petry has the Norris on lock.

What? lol Our board worships Josh Anderson, and most want Joe on the 4th line for some damn reason. You've been misinformed.
are you serious.....yall were all making fun of Anderson before the season started and YES many said Thornton = Anderson when fans were comparing rosters,we laugh about it every time Anderson scores on the habs board

Please provide one quote showing Thorton = Anderson. What people were saying is he isn't some offensive saviour and pointed out his career at best was sub 30 goals. I think he will likely top that pace by a little bit (35ish goal pace) while being physical.

I'll admit, quite a few people were on MB for that trade. Anderson has proven a lot of people wrong. Doesn't change that he's worshiped now.

I'd love to see a supply of quotes which shows Leaf fans think Thronton=Anderson but I have a feeling one poster saw one Leaf fan saying it (possibly out of context) and because you are flawed human beings like the rest of us, you decided "lol all laff fan think Anderson = Thornton omg".

When I imagine you guys watching your team lose but laughing about Anderson scoring because
"lol laffs", this is what I imagine:

I'm actually stunned at the negativity on the Leafs board right now. No other fanbase would have that.

lol so there is one post by someone who is a good poster but an unabashed homer. Now all Leaf fans share a single opinion.

Reminds me of this scene:

Also I wouldn't write off the oilers right now, sure they got a slow start, however with Smith back the D are playing more relaxed and comfortable. Its been 2 games, but its a night and day difference. Toronto may not be the clear cut division winner when all is said and done. The Oilers are putting it together.

Toronto played the Oilers 4 times and each team won two. Yup, the Oilers scare me, they are a tough team to beat.
