Yes, the injuries are definitely going to play havoc with the decision making through this process.

I could have swore I read a tweet somewhere(may have been a picture so search function may not turn up any results) that said they're playing their 3 games against USports, 6 PT, 6 PT, and 2 PT and all the cuts were coming after the 3rd game that evening. I can't seems to find it now, and logically it would make sense to wait much longer than that so we'll see. Maybe they'll make some then and keep 3 forwards with the team just in case.

See in my view, his knee his struck from the side usually indicating an MCL or LCL injury. Usually an ACL injury occurs when the femur is pushed backward at the knee

But if a another poster in the Sens forum is correct in how he sees the video of a valgus collapse then yes an ACL could be involved.

he fact though that the brace and crutches were deemed "precautionary" is definitely a good sign because the doctors can conduct an ACL structural damage test on his knee post game and have a good idea if there is injury or not. Of cpurse MRI is the only definitive way to diagnose though .

Best case its a grade 1 MCL
/LCL sprain or possibly a grade 1 of his meniscus. That usually is pretty much back to normal in two weeks. If it's a grade 2 MCL/LCL we are looking at 4 plus weeks.

If it's ACL or PCL. Well his time with team Canada is all but likely over.

Sounds like Veleno is getting his chance to show he can play on a scoring line. Is there some kind of compare/contrast thing going on with Veleno and Studnicka? Seems like they switched lines.

Interesting to note that after the second USports game last year they released 2 forwards, 2 D, & a goalie (they had 4 however). We'll see if they release anyone today
