Scott plays on the best team in the CHL, I really can't see his numbers matching what he's doing in the WHL this year.

Shouldn't Team Canada be better than PA?

Have past WJ's not taught you anything?

I also highly doubt Scott is going to be the #1 on this team, but we'll see

What should I have learned?
Strange how the better goaltender, won't be the #1.

On paper? No s***. Compared to the competition? No.

I'm not going to get into this, you're being a pure homer right now if you think Scott is better than Dipietro.

If Dipietro was a Leaf, I know who you'd think is the better goaltender. You can't even deny that

Sure I can, DiPietro's numbers are worst than Scott's. Period.

It's the exact same as us Habs fans thinking Brook is the top Dman, or Suzuki is the best forward. We're all homers for our own team's players, and this is an exact case of it lol

Quality of shot does indeed exist in the CHL, especially on special teams. Numbers mean nothing moving forward with Team Canada.
I think it is a tad bit of a stretch to say numbers mean nothing. But I also don't think Scott having numbers so much better make him an obvious choice or anything like that....They are both good goalies and whoever is playing better should get the net.

This is a prime example about not having a clue about who these prospects are, and the teams they play for. You're speaking purely on which prospect plays for your favorite team.

Scott plays for the best team in the CHL.
Dipietro played for Windsor, who is a below average team in the OHL.

I honestly couldn't care less who the starter is, as long as Canada wins Gold. Don't pretend like this is no significant bias here though on your part.

Sure, but not like there is no evidence here.
Considering the way they've played, I think Canada has a better shot, with the better goaltender.
DiPietro may end up being better in this small sample too.

But the numbers?
Yeah numbers are nice, but in a tournament like this, you can't base everything off of their numbers from their junior team.
Just use last year as an example... Conor Timmins ended up being used as arguably their #1 Dman despite not scoring as much as, say, Cal Foote did coming into the tourney.
Scott's numbers aren't going to give him the start on Boxing Day, his play in the pre-tournament game will

A better goaltender in your opinion? Sure.

Majority disagree with you on that.

Like I said, I don't really care. We'll see what happens during the tournament

To be fair, Dipietro was drafted in the 3rd round, Scott in the 4th. Scott could be better than him..It isn't as if Dipietro's pedigree had him drafted top 15 in the draft.
