They say 2 more forwards to cut.. anyone in the know who thinks they know who else gets cut?

Formenton is out too. so 14 now.

For the last cut it will probably be between Vilardi (only because injury status), Anderson-Dolan (injury won't help his chances either), Entwistle and Bowers I'd say.

I was basically going to say what you said. With one more forward to cut I wouldnt be surprised if it was just one of those guys who are hurt cant play. Theres only 4 right wingers left so I doubt they would cut Entwhistle. Bowers listed as a center makes me think its basically if JAD and Vilardi can both play hes gone, if not he'll be there

I really can't see there being any reason why JAD won't be good to go. More so gonna be keyed in on Villardi in my opinion as the risk of re-injury is a lot higher for him with a seemingly recurring back injury then with a surgically repaired wrist that just needs time.

That left side looks pretty weak outside of Smith with just McIsaac and Phillips. Hopefully Brook moves over and Phillips is only the #7
thats pretty much it... Never been impressed with Joseph, he had an awful summer showcase and pretty meh seper serie while MacIsaac was even worst... the best group of defensemen among the 3 leagues was by far the WHL in the super serie this year with Woo being the best defensive defenseman of the bunch but too bad he is a righty, if he was left handed, he would most certainly got an invite and probably made the team too over MacIsaac and Joseph... As I said numerous times, the left side was pretty weak this year, thats why they moved a guy like Brook on the left side and Im pretty sure he will do well since he played some games last year on the left side and his game style works well on both sides, great mobility...

I have to agree with Joseph, not impressed with him in the slightest. But that Phillips pick, good lord is that bad.

Maybe I’m overreacting, but this feels awful. Unfortunate injuries and weird decisions are breaking up what I thought was going to be an amazing team. Formenton and Foudy was a dream come true; all of a sudden we just seem so slow. Why would you ever cut Foudy? Led the team in scoring in the summer and was PERFECT for the fourth line with PK duties. God damn it.

Let’s say Vilardi is out or not up to speed, which I suspect will be the case.

Lafreniere-Glass-Suzuki
Comtois-Frost-Tippett
Veleno-JAD-Leason
Hayton-Bowers-Studnicka
Entwhistle

Smith-Dobson
Brook-Bouchard
McIsaac-Mitchell
Phillips

Scott
DiPietro

I don’t even know.

The US lost...what...B. Tkachuk? Compared to Rasmussen, Thomas, Vilardi, Formenton gone to NHL/injury.

Youre definitely overreacting. The team is still fast and Liam Foudy is not a make or break player for this team. Hes a fast player but he brings nothing to the table that other players on the roster dont. He could've made the team and played the fourth line but thats all he would've been on this roster. Between Veleno, Hayton, Bowers, Studnicka, Entwhistle and even Glass or comtois theyll have plenty of guys who are strong PKers but for the most part bring other things to the table

And Finland has lost Heiskanen, Kotkaniemi, Jokiharju, Vaakanainen and possibly Tolvanen.

Every country loses players.

I would say there's a different between fast and crazy fast and Foudy is definitely the latter. Cheat-code level speed can break a game open on it's own. That said it's not the end of the world and maybe he wasn't near good enough in other ways.

Just looking at stats, Foudy's PPG is rather underwhelming

At the game and Juniors manhandled by the University squad.

Frost was probably the best forward for Juniors. No one stood out on defense. Could see why B-Docker and Joesph were cut.

Not impressed with LaFreniere. One game not much to go on - but for someone currently rated the best in his age group in the world, I expected more.

PPG doesnt really matter. Lawson Crouse made WJC. Gadjovich made WJC. Formenton made it last year and his ppg was meh too.

You take players who excel at this tournament style. Speed kills in these tournaments.

If Vilardi and Anderson-Dolan are good to go:

Comtois-Glass-Tippett
Frost-Suzuki-Vilardi
Veleno-Hayton-Leason
Lafreniere-JAD-Studnicka

13th forward: Either Bowers or Entwistle

-Roll 4 lines. Not the fastest forward group but very deep. No other team could compete with that bottom 6.

Smith-Dobson
Brook-Bouchard
McIsaac-Mitchell
Phillips

-No idea what the actual pairings will be but pretty sure Brook will be on the left side.

DiPietro
Scott

-DiPietro has a slight advantage as of right now but either guy could win the starting role on boxing day.
