I’m a Swede so I don’t have the best knowledge about the Canadian college system so I’m apologizing in beforehand if I offend anybody haha.
But I have to say that I was surprised to see that the Canadian WJC team only won 1 out of 3 games against Usport. I thought that they would dominate the games considering they’re top NHL prospects (some have even already played in the NHL) and would sweep them in three straight.
Is the Canadian college system just that good and flying under the radar or am I missing something here? I’m genuinely curious and interested to know as I consider this team to be the best junior team in the world.
Canadian college players are much older, in their early 20s. They're good players (many are former major junior players) but they're mostly players that have given up on having a pro career. Still, the 5-6 years age advantage puts them in a good position to win those games.
