Mind blowing we've played close to 60 minutes with a man advantage and are still shutout.

This is one issue they need to get on track. An extra goal every second game is the difference between an early exit or the Cup.

They should watch early video from this season. They are not getting good looks and Simmonds is hugging the opposite goal post if my memory is correct. May still have to do with his lingering wrist.

Regardless, special teams are huge. I hope they are firing on all cylinders down the stretch.

It's not sustainable when you get thoroughly outplayed most nights. The shooting percentage will regress and goaltending can only take you so far. Also, penalties aren't called as much in the playoffs

They need to improve their 5 on 5 play for any shot at a playoff run

If I’m Buffalo, you’d need to send Robertson or sandin for ullmark. I seriously think he is their best player right now.
Bernier, maybe he works, would be weird seeing him back, still get a chuckle out of some of the goals he would let in when he was here.
But agree with the idea, get a 1A/1B and split duties, hopefully save a couple mil in cap and use it elsewhere

He is a free agent at the end of the year. They don't exactly have the leverage to ask for top tier prospects because the other option is losing him for nothing in a couple months. Which they very well could choose to do but they aren't getting top level prospects either.

only complaint tonight was the PP and major issue is Reilly. He has no shot so teams are collapsing down low knowing Reilly will either pass it off or take a muffin shot on net and get blocked. I would try Brodie on the top unit and see if his shot is respected enough to open up the cross seams again. Worse case put Reilly on the half wall and let a shooter like Spezza who has a good clapper up top.
