Wolf is going to be a top 5 goalie. He’s elite. I can’t say what Byfield is gonna be but people that are calling this the ‘worst proposal ever’ are clueless.

I agree goalies are voodoo but this kid is special. He’s every bit the prospect Adam Fox and Johnny Gaudreau were (and I was the guy getting laughed at in the top 50 prospect threads for super-hyping Fox abd Gaudreau-which I’ve never done for any other prospect) He’s just special. Nuff said.

The kid almost set a shutout record in the WHL, despite not playing his 20 year old season. Despite being backup to Carter Hart in his first year. Despite playing through 2 covid shortened seasons. Abd yet he still almost set that record then he goes and wins AHL goalie of the year, and he should have won MVP of the whole league at 20.

Partially. Which is why he fell. Mostly because he’s put up historic numbers and pretty much dominated at every level he’s played post draft.

Actually that title would go to Saros, last year’s Vezina finalist. Wolf has a solid inch on him which makes him the same height as Raanta, DeSmith etc.

There are literally 100s of big center in the minor. Are they all going to be special also?

What makes you think he's a potential 1st line C? He's not even as good as Adam Ruzicka. He was a bad pick. He's not even an NHL caliber player at this point. He's trending to being a bottom 6 player at best.

He has 5 points in 6 AHL games as a 20 year old, power forwards typically take longer to develop, especially bigger guys with good hands, who's legs are learning to match the rest of their skills, this is typical of the NHL and always has been.

Not an NHL caliber player, is absolutely laughable, he's 20 years old, like my god are people quick to forget this.

The guy your comparing him to is 3 years older, not sure why your comparing the two players, especially given my points.

As of right now he’s not an NHL player, that part is true.

Definitely has top line potential though, if his IQ can ever develop to keep up with his tools.
