You guys are the the Yankees fans who said if the Blue Jays didn't have two 11 game winstreaks they wouldn't have as good a record lol.

come on now, win streaks have nothing to do with how good of a team you are, it's all about being consistent. Winning a lot of games in a row tells me nothing about good of a team you are, a lot of things at one time is just an outlier, means nothing :sarcasm:

I believe that Nylander is currently the best player outside of Rielly on the Leafs/Marlies Right NOW. IE Lupul or Kadri etc would not be putting up the same numbers as he is in the AHL.

The thing I'm most excited about is how calm and composed he is with the puck. Looks like an emotionless killer out there.

Yup. He could easily slot into the Leafs top 6 but I think this is more indicative of how bad the leafs are than how good Nylander is (he is still really good but wouldn't be the 2nd best player on any other team yet)

Considering Arcobello is scoring at a faster pace than Nylander, you might be underestimating the difference between the AHL and the NHL.

He was above PPG even before this. And this is without two of the best wingers on the team (Brown and Kapanen). If anything, this might continue (his scoring pace) once they come back. Him and Leivo are playing absolutely amazing. Add those two and there's nothing to stop him from cracking 100 points. And his point totals isn't from some inflated shooting percentage. The kid does something on the ice every time he's on there. He has a killer wrist shot, obscene speed and great vision. Those are the kinds of guys you bet on to score 100 points in a season.
Except getting called up to the NHL ;)

Leafs can't keep him down there all season can they? Gotta give him at least 15-20 NHL games this year.

I think he either gets zero games, or he stays up after TDL. He's doing great now, but him getting sent up was always about growing his two-way game.

good at o, but cheating a lot on the D...

still far away to become an impact player in the big league..

for some reason i never think he will be the player people hype

He is pretty good D wise.

He'll be an impact player when he makes his debut.

The reason is you hate the Leafs.

Depends, if he stays at these numbers he may get a taste if leafs are somehow competitive post-WJC. Think they will have decisions to make at the 43 game mark and 73. If he's ready at 43, he probably comes up, but if he's ready at 73 he probably still stays down with the hope he leads the Marlies to the Calder Cup. Also think they want to get him some ice-time with Kapanen and Brown down there.

Uh, take-aways and stick-checks are some of the best parts of his game. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about

Because you are in denial if he is healthy he is a star

Ah, I just noticed you're a Finn and Nylander is a Swede.
I get it.

All this hyping is reminding me of Paajarvi and Josefson. Hope it won't come to that though.
