]He didn't imply the AHL isn't a mens league.[/B] He implied the the AHL isn't on the same level and that's a valid point. It wasn't a very good comparison.

Did you read the post he quoted? I agree it's not a good comparison, but that doesn't have anything to do with his post.

He knows. He is frustrated.

Not at all. But when you say "When did Nylander get called up to the Leafs?" in reply to saying "Now Nylander scores 2 against men.", that's clearly implying the AHL isn't a men's league. Which is incorrect on your part. Don't try to pretend otherwise.

Its not. Not in comparison to the NHL it isnt. You are the one who tried to 'massage' the fact they both scored in 'mens leagues' like the NHL and AHL are synonymous because legal aged adults play in both.

So is the ECHL and a host of other leagues.

I know some are frustrated that Nylander cant make the NHL . He just needs time to get better. He will get there. Not to worry. Nobody is saying he is a complete write off yet. :)

"It's not implying it isn't a men's league. Here in my next sentence I'm going to say that it isn't a men's league". Contradicting yourself. AHL is a men's league, that's a fact. Stop trying to argue against facts, you'll lose every time.

As for the second part of your post, please, do continue to show how little you know about the Leafs and Nylander.

Its an exact quote from him.

Yes, I did read the exact quote. It's called context. William Wet was the one who used the words "against men" for both Draisatl and Nylander implying it was an equal accomplishment.

You guys are cherry picking the words "against men" and ignoring his actual point.

Majority of Leaf fans wanted Nylander in the AHL this year to keep him away from the dumpster fire known as the Leafs. Even management made hints he was destined for it as well.

You shouldn't discuss things you have zero knowledge about.

BTW AHL is a men's league, really have zero clue what yours trying to say. Please refer to my second paragraph.

I can attest to not wanting him near the Leafs roster this season.

Happy that he's having success in the AHL this year. Happy that he's doing well.

Love what they're doing with Nylander with the Marlies. He's 5th in the AHL in points and goals, and as a centre his overall game is improving as the season moves along.

Not sure if the Leafs will bother calling him up because of the status of the club at the moment, but he will definitely be ready by next season to breakthrough as a C under Babcock. Dude is a gym rat, and a student of the game. It's funny to look back at all the "diva" and "suspect attitude" concerns from his draft year

lol this thread.

Nylander is probably the best prospect/player not in the NHL right now.

I can't agree with that. There are at least four 2016 eligibles I'd take over Nylander without hesitation. If you meant drafted players it is still a very questionable claim. He's not the best Leafs prospect not in the NHL imo.

You're saying there are 2016 draft eligibles that are ready to play in the NHL right now? lol

Not really.

Who would be better than him? Marner and Strome are really the only ones I can think of. I would have Provorov slightly below him. Also, fwiw, a lot of Leaf fans have Nylander ahead of Marner.

There may be a few players who could be better players in the future than Nylander, but as of right now? Outside of Matthews, Nylander is way more polished than any of the other prospects in 2016. Could you imagine Nylander in the OHL right now?
