lol this leaf fan.

still better than Radulov? ainec?

I would take Nylander over Radulov any day of the week.

Nylander is/will be the better player, has much better work ethic, coach-ability, and attitude.

I'd say Radulov is definitely better than Nylander as of right now, Kovalchuk as well obviously. Future? Who knows.

Nylander is prob one of the best drafted NHL prospects not in the NHL.

1+1 plus the shootout winner. almost 1+2 also, you can see the nice pass to leipsic that he doesn't bury.

There may be a few players who could be better players in the future than Nylander, but as of right now? Outside of Matthews, Nylander is way more polished than any of the other prospects in 2016. Could you imagine Nylander in the OHL right now?

Imagine him playing with Marner and Dvorak like Tkachuk is doing :amazed:

is there another site where i can learn just about the prospect(s)???

This site just turns into hating prospect(s) because he plays for a team you don't like or because you don't like that team's fan base or because you think that team's fans over rated their prospect.

Not hating on anyone , i just wanted to know about some prospect , i don't get to see a lot AHL/CHL games

(Hockey future doesn't count it doesn't have updates on prospect like points, game recaps etc)

The best and most honest way (atleast on here) would be to go directly to the team's board of the prospect you want information on. For instance, the prospect thread on the leafs board for Nylander.

Posters such as myself are a lot more neutral on there and can probably tell you whatever you need to know. Over here we get really defensive because anyone can come here and bash Nylander or leaf fans with no consequences so it gets into a bickering match.

you're talking about Alex Radulov I assume??? The guy is 29 ffs. Plus he's playing in the KHL for crying out loud, Nylander is pretty damn close to Radulov right now

Radulov is easily a ~60 point NHL player, let alone AHL player. It's a shame he doesn't care about the NHL at all.

Let's slow down the hype machine a little bit. It's great to be excited, and Nylander is doing very well, but come on..

The original point was that Nylander is currently the best player not in the NHL. Radulov's age and where he plays doesn't really matter in this context, as long as he's a hockey player outside of the NHL. If you're going to call him the best player not in the NHL, he'll obviously be compared to every great player outside of the league...

Remember when people used the argument that Nylander wasn't ready for the NHL, which is why he didn't make this current Leafs squad...lol

Anyone that has ever watched him play could tell you he's NHL ready, including neutral broadcasters and analyst.

But why rush him on a wasted year? Let him play a full year at center in the AHL, control his ELC some more and let him build chemistry with future leafs like Kapanen, Brown and Leivo.

Gawd, I hope they leave him right where he is. I think being thrown to the wolves on THIS crappy Leaf team would be terrible for Nylander and those other guys.

Next year is totally fine.......after he and the Marlies win the Calder Cup this year. ;)

Weird. On the radio yesterday, that's pretty much why Dubas said he didn't make the team. In fact he specifically referenced the people who operated under the belief that he was ready to be in the NHL but the Leafs were just holding him back anyway.

What makes you think next year's team is going to be any better?

Yes, because Dubas is going to say "Yeah, Nylander was definitely better than 10 of our 12 forwards but you see, we didn't want him near this dumpster fire and want to ensure a top 5 pick while having control over his ELC"

Not disagreeing here, but context matters here. Is Nylander ready to be a responsible high-end two-way center, which is what they want him to be? No, not at all. Is he NHL ready enough to take a spot on either wing or center? That is an obvious yes, and I don't think Dubas would dispute it. But that wouldn't serve their purpose with him as of right now.

He was specific it was about improving system play.

I really wish this didn't devolve into Nylander is better than x... again...

I guess you haven't heard much about the Marlies. Their record is pretty much the opposite of the Leafs.

This doesn't mean that if you plug players with no NHL experience into an NHL team the team will immediately improve.

More likely it was that Nylanders game needed improvement like Dubas said.

Yup, even the Utica comet announcers were wondering why Nylander wasnt in the NHL.

Remember when people used the argument that Nylander was a better prospect because he was playing well in a better league than the other prospects were? Funny how that doesn't matter anymore.
