See, you're part of the reason people don't like Leafs fans. Just stop it with the hyperbole.

 Yeah that's totally the reason people don't like Leafs fans. It's all our fault for getting excited...

Seriously, it's a Nylander thread. Nylander is a Leafs prospect. If it bothers you that much what Leafs fans say, simply ignore the thread.

I was at the game tonight and other than the two goals he was gifted great passes on he wasn't at his best, barely noticed him other than when the Marlies were on the PP, which was quite a bit tbh. Kapanen was also invisible, and at the end of the game pulled a Sedin and let Bertuzzi punch him the face multiple times (Bertuzzi was penalized, but still would've liked to see Kapanen stick up for himself). Leivo, Panik and Sparks were the stand outs for me. But hey if you can pot two goals and be invisible, be invisible all you want.

This is a refreshing post. Yes, it is a good sign when a player is invisible for a game, but still hits the scoresheet with 2 goals. There is some talent here.

I've seen him do that on a few occasions.

2 goals, 4 shots, +3, maybe you didnt have the best angle

four rows up behind the home goalie for the first two periods and sat in box seats in the third. Is 4 shots and his +/- suppose to prove me wrong or something? Marlies were on the powerplay nine times with Nylander on the point, is 4 shots impressive to you?

I'm just repeating what I saw, I didn't come away in awe of his play last night like I usually do when watching him, there were multiple Marlies that impressed me more. Nothing wrong with that being that he had two goals and it's only one game.

This is why I'm fine with keeping him in the AHL all year. Its evident the offence is there, now we want him to work on his consistency. A mix of his game not being fully fine tuned yet and our trainwreck of a team wouldn't help him at all.

thanks for posting this when I have seen him this year he seems to be playing very positionaly sound he's not noticed because he's just making the right play most times glade to hear that he's not standing out in a bad way when he's not having a real effective night . at least I hope this is the case and its not that he is not trying between spurts of effectiveness

but they are not real man are they. In all seriousness good for drai, playing with a lot of offensive talent, has elite potential himself like nylander, no way he wont be good. The oilers will be scoring a lot and will be a contender soon, too much individual talent not too, now with mcdavid, Tmac, and a proper gm those peices are working and producing points. They wont be good right away but they will be next year imo. Still like nylander better than drai and think both are going to be amazing players, happy drai is producing but i am confident nylander will too when we call him up(probably next year, even though he was nhl ready at pre season)

Both are going to be great players and both are in the conference they belong in based on the style of game they play. I still think Drai is a slightly better prospect, but its so close that you could argue it either way. Much like you could do the same for any forward drafted in the top 9. However its starting to look like Nylander and Ehlers should have gone ahead of Dal Colle and Virtanen, but that could easily change.

He didn't imply the AHL isn't a mens league. He implied the the AHL isn't on the same level and that's a valid point. It wasn't a very good comparison.

Leafs should be worried about his commitment to contracts. He bailed on Sweden, who is to say he won't bail on the Maple Leafs.

?

Nylander was loaned to Modo by the Leafs and they could only take him back after the WJC. They did, and the GM of Modo was perfectly fine with it.

This is one of my favorite comments ever.

Just a complete swing and miss.
