So calm and patient with the puck on his stick in the offensive zone. Always seems to be making the best play possible.
Incredible player.
Incredible player.
Wouldn't trade him for any other forward from his draft class.

He does look like the best forward from the class at the moment, with Draisaitl right there too. As a Sabres fan, watching players surpass Reinhart feels like a gut punch.

What happened to that guy who would always say Ritchie would be better? Haven't seen him in a long time but I also can't remember his username? BOB or bill something?
He had his stick in the lane. Stamkos made a good shot, getting the puck over Nylander's blade. He's a former 60 goal scorer for a reason.
Andersen should be stopping shots from there anyway, though Hunwick didn't exactly help since he let Namestnikov stand in front of the net while getting in his own goalie's way.
I believe his name is Don
Umm, don't be so down. Sam Reinhart is a great player as well, it's not like you took Virtanen, Fleury, or MDC over Nylander.
Reinhart is a really smart player. The kind of player you win games with.
I agre with that point. It's far too early to get down on Reinhart, especially after a very solid if not spectacular season last year. It's also too early to anoint Nylander as best forward in his draft class. In the Leafs board debates about Andersen, sigh, I've said it is too early to rate him negatively. To be consistent at all, I ought to agree it is too early to rate Nylander so positively.
But he certainly is promising!
Yep, way too early but it's hard not to like what we see from Nylander. Produced at every level and now just starting where he left off last year. The Leafs badly needed to get this pick right and they knocked it out of the park (we didn't know Marner or Matthews were going to be Leafs). We got a top three talent picking 8th overall. Ever since we picked Schenn, we haven't really ****ed up a top draft selection.
It would not have been hard for the Leafs to pick Ritchie (remember Carlyle was coach at the time and he loves grit over skill and Nonis was GM at the time). Glad Shanny cleaned house and got rid of the scouts we had before and got Hunter in charge.
Even Babcock said today that Nylander is way better than he thought he was. I'm glad he didn't play much last season when JvR was injured or he would have taken us out of last place.
Saw that guys rants, so I'm tracking it down. He and a bunch of others also latched on to the Filatov/Nylander comparable. I\m pretty sure it is the guy now known as FrozenJagrt you are thinking of. I would hope he's changed his mind. What happened to that guy who would always say Ritchie would be better? Haven't seen him in a long time but I also can't remember his username? But at least he's a passionate Leafs fan, everyone gets things wrong, it is not as bad as so called neutral's or opposing fans who ran with the Filatov comparable.

I think Nylander can emerge as the best forward of the 2014 draft, and live up to his billing as the most offensively skilled. He seems to of removed much of the fear about his projected floor with his performance post draft. Nylander, Larkin, Bennett, Reinhart, Ehlers, and Larkin are impressive. People also seem to forget about Pasternak and Fabbri who have shown they also belong in the disucssion. Will be interesting to see what guys like Ritchie, Virtanen, Vrana, McCann and Fiala can do this year too.
i think he should work a lot on defensive, a lot to prove there
