Looks really really good. We have a Swedish, American and Canadian star on our team.
Marner will breakout half way through this season.
Nylander has impressed me more than Matthews so far and that's not something I expected him to do. They both just play so well together.
You already have a Finnish in your team who is a fan favorite. Now we just need that Finnish star so the Finnish posters will start supporting us instead of Laine!

Uncle Leo!!! Does he a look a step behind to anyone else? I'm so used to his tenacity and relentlessness but I feel like I haven't seen as much this year.
This guy is a monster. If keeps playing like this he'll beat Matthews for the Calder.
Unlikely that one keeps up their play while the other drops it. If Matthews or Nylander slow down in production then Nylander or Matthews will slow down too most likely. They've pretty much connected on almost every single goal they have between them--both on 5v5 and the PP.

They're both so good at driving the play AND finishing. Its almost like they take turns driving it because there isn't enough puck to go around. After a bit of time they'll be able to do this on their own lines (lets face it Nylander is a center). Whether or not they could have similar results on their own at this point is yet to be seen. You'd have to think there would be some drop off, just because they think the game in such a similar way and have the best chance of finishing each others passes of anyone on the team.
I don't think there's much chance of them dropping off substantially while they play on the same line. They're too good at picking each other up.
Never said he'd score more than Matthews. He has less points right now, but he's been better than Matthews so far.
I know Matthews has more hype (he's awesome and deserves it), but the headlines should be about Nylander.

Agreed, but they'll even eventually become the #1 focus of opposing teams. I know that they're currently facing top lines and top d-pairings, but I don't think other teams are intensely matching their best players 100% of the time against Matthews & Nylander. I think that's the next step (if they continue burning teams like they are now) and it'll be a new obstacle for them to work around. Either way, as enthusiastic as I am for them, I think it's unrealistic to expect them to maintain a 1PPG throughout their entire rookie season. That's basically unheard of.
Unless your McDavid, Crosby, Ovechkin or Malkin... I'm not saying they are that caliber, but they MAY be in a unique situation to capitalize on each other's strengths to get there together.
As for coverage improving.. I think teams are already talking about shutting them down as a promary focus before games. It's just a matter of if they can find a way to do it consistently. They're pretty dynamic though, and great and controlling possession. Right now the answer seems to be getting the puck in their end and keeping it there, since their pretty weak in that area. Lets hope they get on top of that, because when they do get possession, it's a scoring chance.
His scoring trends shouldn't surprose anyone. He's done this in every league he's played in. First year: roughly .5 ppg, flashes of brilliance. Second year: ppg +, dominant.
We haven't even seen what he looks like in his third year in a league yet...
Before people get crazy, I'm not saying he's a lock for a ppg this year... Just saying.
Man he's good.
Dont know that has he played with Timashov in juniors, but him being Swe also would they make a good pair?Exactly, he's done this same adjustment in every single league he's played in. I'm not sure if he'll stick to the wing or go back to center but that might take another adjustment period if that does happen. Otherwise I agree, I could see him close to 70 points once he's fully adjusted and depending on who he plays with.
He's been absolutely terrific. What a player.
