Chaos shift where Savoie steals a puck at the blueline, feeds Sward whose first shot is stopped but he finishes on the second. Assist 2 and I think they've scored as a line on every shift but one this period.

Sounds like he's having himself quite the series. You love to see it!

Yeah, so far so good. I think he's 6th in playoff scoring now with 18 points in 10 games. I'm curious to see if Lindgren's Red Deer team can manage to finally close out Saskatoon to advance to the conference finals to meet Savoie and the Ice.

Is there, or was there, a rule that allowed a junior player to play in AHL after his season ended? I’m thinkin that is or was a thing but can’t recall for certain.

Even if there is its not likely to happen for Savoie with the Amerks likely to get knocked out this coming weekend. Barring a big turnaround in their play.

Since Savoie signed his ELC, the Sabres have control over where he goes after his WHL season ends. So if Rochester is still playing after Winnipeg (highly, highly unlikely)......yes, Savoie could be sent to Rochester if Buffalo wanted to send him there.

Yeah, once his season is over, he could play in the AHL (Bloom was in Rochester on an ATO but didn't play last year after his OHL team was eliminated as an example). I don't see the Amerks making it passed Friday. And I like the Ice matchup vs. the Rebels and figure they will advance. Moose Jaw gave them a scare - Firkus and Yager (and Rysavy on that line) gave the Ice fits but I don't see Red Deer being able to dictate play with a particular line in that way.

And just like that, the Ice are playing the Blades instead because Lindgren's Rebels have done something rare - blown a 3-0 lead to lose a best of 7 in the playoffs.

Fabulous puck movement from Savoie to Benson to Sward to McClennon who finishes his hattrick. No point for Savoie but very much part of the play.

Of note, the Blades also lost games 1 and 2 to Bedard's Regina Pats and Games 1, 2, and 3 against Lindgren's Red Deer Rebels. They shouldn't be counted out against Winnipeg until they are out and truly done.

Memorial cup has to be one of the toughest roads to a championship if not the toughest.

Do people feel he is NHL ready ? Just having an incredible playoff run and season .

I would be down to do the Shane Wright approach, I don’t know if he needs to go back to junior and just light it up for another year

I wanna give him a shot at a top 6 role next season and I feel he is almost NHL ready

Five months of watching him and I'm rarely eager to plug someone into the lineup before they are ready... but it seems to me like Savoie is ready. And not ready to sit around in the press box, or get manipulated into conditioning assignments, but actually taking ice time and making something of himself.
